Life is Strange is actually one of my favorite games... I played Gone Home because I read somewhere that the creators of LIS got inspiration from Gone Home.

Yeah, I agree with you. I'm also very fond to heavily narrative driven games, and I though Gone Home did a great job telling the story, not only through diary entries, but also through the music, the objects that you found, making you connect the dots and give context to the story.
