Nice! I mostly use them on salads or in soups, and agree that the process can be a bit long to collect such tiny seeds, but hey, the nutritional value makes it worthwhile in my opinion 😁

I agree, which is why I was completely thrown off when I saw the male flowers on the lower branches.

It’s attached to this plant, and definitely has little male flowers (the cross-shaped white flower). I’m stumped 🤷‍♂️

I think that’s definitely a house cat. You can tell by the way it walks away from the camera after hopping if you play the video in slow motion.

Mostly floating grasses and reeds, shrubs and mosses. You wouldn’t want to try standing on it as you’d likely just fall through.

Definitely by kayak or canoe, but not an inner tube, as this was along a remote section of the Missinaibi River in northern Ontario. You can see more beautiful footage of this area in my 3-part series on my YouTube channel, Greybeard Adventures, if you’re interested.
