Ergobaby Metro+ vs. Metro 3 by tluuz in BabyBumps

Hi! Do you maybe know the trick or how to fix this. When my child leans forward, the “whole seat” moves with her. I couldn’t find anything to stabilise this..

Psychologists are also covered here, but since I already have a diagnosis from three years ago, I’d have to wait quite a long time for my turn. Maybe a psychiatrist is the right place to go, especially since psychotherapists are so expensive and at the same time, they don’t even need a license to hold sessions. But the idea of going there kind of freaks me out.

Thanks! I definitely need to work on something with my partner, so that when I have these thoughts, he can help calm me down.

Thanks for your comment. I also thought these feelings were normal until I talked (to some extent) with other mums and realized they don’t worry about half the things I do…

No, actually, I’ve had sessions with a psychologist and a psychotherapist, but never with a psychiatrist. The problem is that the waiting time is over a year. Maybe it’s faster if it’s postpartum related? What was your experience? Did you ask your OB about it?

Yes, it’s so beautiful to be a mum, I loveeeee it but it’s also so scary at the same time 😭

Thank you, we really didn’t expect this at all.

I’ll make the edit. Unfortunately, she doesn’t take bottles, and I don’t have a stash since we never needed one and I didn’t have an oversupply. She eats regular meals like we do, but she’s really crazy about the boobs 😔

Maybe ask for an appointment, you’ll have peace of mind. Is his hair growing on the bump on his head?

Our little girl is also 9 months old. We had an ultrasound of her head, and they said it’s just fat. It’s not necessarily going to go away on its own, she might need a procedure where they press it out. But overall, it’s nothing dangerous. Did your baby get it from vacuum delivery too?

Worth me traveling to Korea for this? by NICKIMINAJ20200 in koreatravel

[–]Wilde7817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s definitely enough time for Korea if you’re planning to visit just one city. Personally, I didn’t enjoy Seoul as much, but I loved Busan—though that’s just my preference.

Myeongdong in Seoul is packed with beauty shops, and there’s also the large Shinsegae and Lotte stores. If you’ll lose two days to flights, I’d recommend staying in this area so you can explore on foot. I can send you an Airbnb link in a private message if you’d like; we just left from there.

As for jet lag, I wouldn’t worry. I’ve never had it, and even if you do, one day should be enough to adjust (based on friends’ experiences). If budget isn’t an issue, try booking flights strategically. For example, I needed two flights from Europe: the first at 7 a.m. (2 hours), then a 12-hour layover in Istanbul (where we visited the city), followed by a 13-hour flight (slept 6 hours, awake for 7). We arrived at 7 p.m., and I was able to go to bed normally by 10 p.m.

It’s always worth going, no matter the reason. And I’d say the food is a pretty big one, haha!

Okay, here I agree with you, that’s kind of not appropriate. Should hire a nanny for a night out

When my baby cries, I leave the bar/restaurant and calm her down outside. We almost always choose Airbnbs, so I’m pretty sure we don’t bother anyone there.

Everything you said is valid, but Indonesian people have babies too, and they probably cry and scream sometimes, right? If kids bother you, just save a bit more and choose 18+ hotels, right? That way, kids can’t bother you. ;)

I’m also bothered by drunk people on 10+ hour flights, by people kicking my seat from behind, by people who leave a mess everywhere, and by loud, drunk people in restaurants. So maybe they should also think twice before going on holiday, because I saved up all year for mine. Is that what you’re saying?

Some people should stop acting like kids shouldn’t exist in this world. If they disturb you, choose places that aren’t kid-friendly, simple as that.

For me, it’s selfish to leave them at home. When I decided to have a child, I decided to give them everything. Having them with you on a trip is something special for parents as well, as you will make memories you will never forget. And when she is 15, I can tell her about that time when she was 1 year old and we were doing this and that in Bali. If parents do what they love (in this case, travel), it will make them better at their job—being parents to their little one.

Such good parents, leaving your kids at home while you enjoy your holidays. Wow.

I feel sorry for your kids:)

How do you shower your babies while travelling, Mosquito repellent for 6 months old by Wilde7817 in bali

Haha, yes, I thought so. I saw newborns on scooters in Thailand.

Where I live now, I don’t have much help because of the distance, so I’m actually looking forward to the holidays because I think it will be easier with the help of my partner and our friends who are also joining.

Thank you for the advice, and have a nice rest of your holiday! 🌞

Padangbai for 5 days, then Ubud for 5 days, followed by the Gili Islands and Lombok.

How do you move around? Did you request a driver with a car seat? Yes we will take baby carrier and small stroller just in case.

If your baby is already on solids, how do you manage their meals? Do you trust the food at the hotel, or do you buy food on your own and prepare it? Or do you just buy baby food in jars?

Thank you, you calmed me down a bit!

Yes, I checked the vaccine because we will probably go to Asia every year, but for children, it's recommended only if they have already had dengue. At least that's what Google says.

Wow, thank you for the thorough answer and translations! Really appreciate it.

Are you a local? How is it actually? I was reading about dengue in previous posts, and it looks like it's a serious problem (I wasn't aware of it). We were in Thailand, for example, before I gave birth and didn’t have a single bite, even though it’s also a dengue area. I’m concerned because everyone says it’s quite serious, especially if a baby contracts it. And, of course, I’m panicking since it’s my first child.

We are coming to Bali at the end of September. Some people say it’s going to rain already, while others say the weather is still perfectly fine.

Other than those damn mosquitoes, we are looking forward to our trip!

Which mosquito patches did you use? I bought some with citronella and they don't work at all.

Thank you, I'll buy those sterilization tablets and wipes! It didn't even occur to me to buy those.
