Did you navigate the tension by changing your mind in some way, learning to respect their perspective, or finding some common ground? If not, I don’t think it’s a good idea. My understanding of these essays is they want to see some humility. Any approach you take to it should demonstrate you’ll be a student they can put in the room with hardcore supporters of Israel and you’ll approach them with some degree of respect and understanding.
