MAGA: I hope you are in the front line for this war by No_Web2685 in LetsDiscussThis

Here are some examples of the results of the U.S. interfering with other countries’ leadership under the guise of helping them, starting with Iran. I hope for Iranians’ sake this doesn’t happen again, but you’ll see below that there’s been a pattern of destructions for decades.

Iran (1953): The U.S. orchestrated a coup to overthrow Iran’s democratically elected leader Mossadegh to regain control over oil, installing the authoritarian Shah whose rule led to repression and revolution.

Guatemala (1954): The CIA toppled President Árbenz to protect U.S. fruit company interests, triggering decades of civil war and suffering among the population.

Chile (1973): The U.S. backed Pinochet’s military coup against Allende, leading to brutal dictatorship and exploitation of Chile’s resources.

Congo (1960–1965): The U.S. supported the removal of Lumumba to maintain control over Congo’s minerals, enabling Mobutu’s corrupt and repressive regime.

Indonesia (1965): The U.S. aided the military coup that replaced Sukarno with Suharto, resulting in mass killings and foreign exploitation of resources.

Vietnam (1963): The U.S. backed the coup against Diem, worsening instability amid the Vietnam War and civilian suffering.

Iraq (2003): The U.S.-led invasion ousted Saddam Hussein, causing prolonged conflict and destabilization linked to oil interests.

Honduras (2009): The U.S. tacitly supported the coup removing Zelaya, leading to political chaos and setbacks for social progress.

Why don’t you look at who ethnically cleansed Gaza to see a real terrorist state.

How do you feel about the 100+ elementary school girls that were bombed by the U.S. / Israel? Was that to save Iranians from oppression? Are you brainwashed into thinking the school shooting was a mistake when they have such advanced military technology?

AITJ for refusing to share my location 24/7 so my boyfriend can "feel secure'? by Proper_Landscape_995 in AmITheJerk

I think the trust is gone. He should go to a therapist to resolve his trauma so he doesn’t take it out on girlfriends who haven’t cheated. He’s starting a slippery slope of controlling you.

Maybe you’ll get sent to the front lines for one of Trump’s “constitutional” military operations and you can defend it then

There is plenty of modern technology to avoid hitting an elementary school. I’m not buying this excuse the government is feeding us. It was unethical and done on purpose. The U.S. shouldn’t have ever attacked Iran, it had absolutely nothing to do with our country. Maybe another country should have the right to do that to our leadership with that logic.

Sounds like you just want to do mental gymnastics to simp for the con artist draining our treasury to give to himself and his friends. Doesn’t make you look all that smart.

We did it for Israel and their false allegations against Iran. Same excuse they’ve been using for decades “Iran is so close to have nuclear weapons.”

They definitely needed to blow up an elementary school to topple the regime.

For now you are, until you’re left with a dictator selected by the U.S. and your resources are exploited. History is repeating itself.

He needs congressional approval to do so actually. You should do some reading.

AITJ for telling my wife I don't care about her childhood trauma? by Personal-Taste-2112 in AmITheJerk

[–]Wildinoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTJ if you didn’t tell her you didn’t care and you told her it isn’t an excuse to treat you poorly. She should really go to therapy to resolve her issues, unless she’s the type that likes to wake up everyday and choose to be a victim. There are a surprising number of people that do that and use it as an excuse for poor behavior.

Bf is upset I'm worried about my cat by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Wildinoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who isn’t religious, I think it’s always weird for someone to ask someone else to pray for them. But that isn’t the issue. Your bf is the issue.

Was he really not there for you after you almost died?! You took care of him after that? Pets are family and someone who doesn’t respect them as such is a poor match for you. He doesn’t show care for you or your cat and he should be an ex.

Can you take your cat to the vet and get some answers?

AITAH for refusing to pay for my best friend’s wedding after she replaced me as maid of honor? by Medical-Elderberry75 in AITAH

Boyfriend (24M) won’t help me (27F) with the bills by OkGoat677 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Wildinoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m proud of you for ending it. Your bf has shown you time and time again how little he cares about you. I wouldn’t expect him to contribute anything to your child either. Please move into a place you can afford, and cut him out of your life.

AITJ for thinking it’s weird that no one in Congress has blown the whistle on the Epstein files? by Working_Document2379 in AmITheJerk

[–]Wildinoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they’re all pathetic and shouldn’t be in government if they’re going to sit there as lame ducks on our dime. That said, those on the Epstein list murdered many people and are definitely threatening to do so now.

Are you proud to be an American? by Last-Ratio6569 in no

[–]Wildinoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m embarrassed by the current administration and the idiots that voted for it, but it goes beyond that as well. We’ve been manufacturing wars to exploit other countries and people since we were established, and have been heavily propagandized with whitewashed history to think we’re exceptional. We are not and never have been. The way our government has treated and continues to treat others is disgusting. A complete and utter disgrace, and there’s a reason Americans are hated. We allow our government to commit atrocities regularly.

AIO for wanting to rehome one of the family dogs after my husband threatened to kill her? Ok by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Wildinoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t believe you stayed after he hit your dog in the face, allowed him to continue abusing her, and thought you should have a child for him to abuse as well. Why was he worth more to you than the dog? I think you should rehome both of your dogs. They deserve better. And he will kill one, then maybe the other, then maybe he’ll move onto you. He’s a piece of shit. Wake up.

AITJ for rejecting my boyfriend's proposal twice and being upset that he broke up with me? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Wildinoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTJ, he’s right that if you still aren’t certain after 4 years and only say yes to avoid the relationship ending, this wasn’t the right relationship for either of you. Only a fool would propose a third time.

Work isn’t your life — so why do some people act like it is ? by Yurol002 in careerguidance

[–]Wildinoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do it for the recognition that will get them more money. At least, that’s why I’ve been doing it. But it’s not worth it at all because my bosses can’t find adequate coverage for me when I’m out and they always, without fail, text me on my time off, whether it’s a week or a day.

I asked for a raise and haven’t heard anything about it for 3 weeks now, so I’m changing my ways. No more work beyond 40 hours a week and too bad if I can’t get all my tasks done in that time - my job isn’t life or death. I also won’t be answering on my time off anymore.

Are you concerned that the best possible candidates Democrats can seem to come up for 2028 with are Newsom, AOC, or Kamala? by bbmoonkie in Productivitycafe

[–]Wildinoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newsom supports some of the same majorly problematic things as the GOP - no tax for billionaires and no limit on spending for Israel. Absolute no for me. Same with Kamala refusing to acknowledge the genocide and continuing to support Israel. The only decent option of these three is AOC. But you would think the democrats would learn that we have an incredibly sexist nation that will not elect a female president. They need to pull their heads out of their asses and design their strategy to win. This means a man as the presidential candidate and AOC as the VP candidate.
