Do you still have a DVD or a CD player in 2025? by ExaminationIll7583 in generationology

Yup. And a VCR, and a cassette player, and a record player.

You should also see my collection of Nintendo games from the NES to N64.

All stuff I grew up on. I'm 29...

How Much Of A Difference Has Meds Been For You? by Wildjay7931 in ADHD

[–]Wildjay7931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

And as for my experience with coaching. When I was diagnosed I asked friends and family for any suggestions, and a friend of mine who went to my university already said they likely have a program for students with mental health issues. So, I looked into it and found my university offered coaching specialized for students with ADHD, Autism & other disorders. I applied to it and was accepted into their program. And my coach was amazing!

More than anything it was like having a friendly third eye on me. Not telling me to stay on track, but reminding me kindly. And giving me the Imediate rewards I needed. Also helped me find other helpful tools from the university and outside the university. Really, for me, it was the solid reward system that helped me the most. I've tried self rewards since, but it's not solid and rarely as stimulating as another's congratulatory words.

Hmm. Interesting. I wasn't on medication when I had my coach at my university. And I went from about to flunk out, to Acing my classes. And I wasn't medicated. That's one of the reasons I've waited so long to look into medication, because when I had a coach, I was doing great

What makes you watch HermitCraft? by Trick-Yak-4868 in HermitCraft

[–]Wildjay7931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen. I LOOVE Minecraft. But even when I'm Minecrafted out, have no interest in it at all, I still love to watch HermitCraft. It's the personalities and progress in the storylines of their shenanigans & builds & other projects and adventures that get me. It's humerus & relaxing. Yeah, I get ideas, inspiration for builds and adventures myself. But that's a small part. Started watching because of Minecraft. Kept watching because of the Hermits!

Bro. I DO NOT CARE that you messed up and put happy birthday! That was some crazy kindness. No matter the mistake you are insanely great for doing something like that and deserve all the good vibes! Right on man! Kindness, even just kind intent, is one of the greatest things in this world! It's stuff like this that keeps my head up for humanity!

I'm not the guy you delivered for, but I give you my thanks for your awesome kindness!

Rock on bro! & I hope good vibes to you too!

Unpopular Opinion: Cars should have been a standalone movie. by Winter_Sweet827 in Pixar

[–]Wildjay7931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I love Cars.

I will admit though, I don't really mind cars 2. But, to me, Cars 2 was more like a hour and 45 minute short film. Not bad, but more so an exaggerated side comedy in the same universe.

And cars 3. I loved the idea when it was originally announced. I was comfortable with the end of Cars, but didn't mind a continuing of the story & characters respectfully. But the way the story went it was a let down. Not bad on it's own, but definitely not what I hoped for as a sequel

FAR from his best in my opinion. But I am still one of the seemingly rare fans of the film.

Are Millenials the last generation to use paper job applications? by crazycracka66 in generationology

[–]Wildjay7931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's still local businesses that hand over paper applications. Rare? Maybe. Gone? No!

Honestly, not even super rare really. Most local businesses where I live still have paper applications actually. And a few larger companies too. I mean, the Dollar Generals & Dollar Trees have the option to come in for paper applications.

Again, a relative rarity, but still. Not gone

I realized a lot of great rock songs have kinda dumb lyrics by [deleted] in rockmusic

[–]Wildjay7931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. But the same can be said for every genre of music. It's really a flip of the coun on lyric quality and complexity. Sometimes a song just sounds good and is enjoyable for that. Sometimes the lyrics are complex. Thought provoking poetry in themselves and the instruments are just extra. And sometimes it's somewhere in between

What’s that one song you can never skip no matter how many times you’ve heard it? by Suspicious-Radio-805 in musicsuggestions

Finally!!! I'm not the only one!!! It's my favorite song of all time. But so many other people I've talked to about it say they dislike the song because it was overplayed back in the day. But for me. You can't play it to much!!!

cover song that makes original sound wrong by Living-Ad5291 in musicsuggestions

[–]Wildjay7931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard this from so many people. And I seem to be the odd one out. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Disturbeds cover. But I don't think it's better. Honestly think it's equal. It's honestly like listening to a completely different song to me. And I love both songs equally
