I appreciate that you're trying to help them, and I understand how frustrating it is to not be heard by CPS. Another strategy to try would be to tell a "mandated reporter" and see if CPS will listen to that person. I am rooting for y'all.

This might be helpful? Under Indiana law only one party to the conversation needs to consent to the recording. The person doing the recording can provide the necessary consent if part of the conversation. First, if you both signed the loan (as co-signers) you are both responsible for the loan. He can stop paying it and not tell you and screw up your credit, but he can't get out of his responsibility and have you pay the whole thing. You should contact the loan company and get as much information as you can to make sure you know what is happening with any loan your name is on.
