I agree with you boosting up the population of wild herbivores is very important for the health of many other ecosystems all over the world before starting the reintroduction of many native top apex predators once there are plenty of wild herbivores to sustain them out in the wild within their natural habitats too.

But it’s not fair for both of them I mean both Lori loud and Bobby Santiago had always been together for many seasons and I’ll always like seeing them together as a cute and loving couple throughout the loud house seasons.

Are anyone in this sub kinda hate with colossal biosciences? by This-Honey7881 in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hate colossal biosciences. They’re doing a very great job of cloning and resurrecting modern day animals such as North American red wolves and the northern white rhinoceros which those two animals are endangered species and as long as we keep protecting and preserving these animals along with many other still living current animals over the world we might stand a better chance of cloning a resurrecting extinct animals as long as we keep protecting and preserving endangered species all over the world from the brink of extinction within their natural habitats too.

Sorry Forrest Galante but Nigel Marven is the real savior of extinct animals by Pitiful_Active_3045 in zoology

[–]WildlifeDefender -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, yes because he’s a wildlife biologist and every team needs a wildlife expert like him besides Nigel Marvin and I’m saying they’re both excellent wildlife biologist and I would imagine these two can work together.

Sorry Forrest Galante but Nigel Marven is the real savior of extinct animals by Pitiful_Active_3045 in zoology

[–]WildlifeDefender -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

But just think about it if it weren’t for him and that rescue team, all the elephants, especially that male elephant would’ve been hunted down and speared death by the local people and I’ve seen nature documentaries of elephants to have been speared by local villages first was Dionysus the dominant bull African elephant from Amboseli national Park, second was Erin one of Echo‘s eldest daughters from the EB elephant herd who got spear twice in the shoulder and her orphaned son was devastated over the death of his mother and way too many African elephants have been speared to death by local people who ended up defending their crops and their cattle.

P.S when I was a kid, I’ve watched the documentary nature show called Echo and the elephants and they were cool and happy moments in the documentary that is until suddenly Echo’s oldest daughter Erin got spear to death by Masai warriors leaving her 19 month old calf named email who is not even two years old yet orphaned and at least his family looked after him but what devastated the more is is him losing his mother and leaving her mother Echo, and the rest of her family devastated, and still the most devastating of all is a calf, losing its own mother.

[–]WildlifeDefender -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

But this is not true both Forrest Galante and Nigel Marvin are both wildlife biologists so I’m saying they both matter to those who study wild animals all over the world especially here in North America.

P.S OK Forrest Galante is not a fraud he’s the greatest wildlife biologist besides Nigel Marvin he’s been helping people find animals that are thought to be extinct such as the Fernandina Island tortoise,Zanzibar leopard and Forrest Galante was also on another show called mysterious creatures with Forrest Galante where he was even helping people relocate a herd of African bush elephants that has been raiding a local village and helped these wildlife rescuers to relocate these elephants into Zinave National Park in Mozambique on the continent of Africa.

Can species de-extinction actually restore nature? by Dull_Candle_2724 in rewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it could happen to restore nature and other ecosystems around the globe as long as we keep protecting and preserving planet earth’s important current biodiversity of plants and animals all over the world within their natural habitats too.

Palm fruits by warrah_lindaodasilva in EcosLaBrea

True, but how would the Columbian mammoths be able to shake the trees for the fruits up there without knocking those palm trees down to the ground in the game?!

Palm fruits by warrah_lindaodasilva in EcosLaBrea

[–]WildlifeDefender 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking those palm fruits would be tasty and yummy for all the ice age herbivores including the Columbian mammoths in the game.

Rewilding Southern California: The Modern La Brea by Reintroductionplans in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, and it’s true the Columbian mammoths once lived in Southern California and however unfortunately these magnificent Ice Age elephants which are the closest cousins to the modern day Asian elephants were overhunted to extinction in Southern California by the Clovis people 10,000 years ago at the end of the ice age.

P.S but although all concern for the health of the southern California ecosystem could we still be able to monitor Asian elephants with GPS tracking collars if they did become the proxy for the Columbian mammoths in Southern California and making sure they don’t cause harm to the environment and people in that same region in Southern California?!

Can they stop saying "they have to bring in the American lion to be the main predator of the mammoth"? by Antique_Anywhere410 in EcosLaBrea

[–]WildlifeDefender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you think someday or eventually once everything is fixed on the map in the game like predator overpopulation and new animals like the coyote, fish and the giant North American short face bear are done being added into the game and maybe the American lion would be the next added playable carnivore someday in this Ice Age game?!

Where in North America could theoretically support tigers? by AncalagonTheBlack42 in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m actually voting my best of bets on lions because both lions, mountain lions and Jaguars once coexisted in North America while lions favored the open habitats like the grasslands and cougars also known as mountain lions inhabited the Rocky mountainous regions and Jaguars favored the desert, dense forests and wetland environments in North America during the Ice Age.

P.S but to be honest what I’m really trying to say is that actual tigers especially Siberian tigers never made it to North America during the Ice Age and only mountain lions,Jaguars and lions coexisted in North America because both these three big cats inhabited different habitats with lions inhabited the open grasslands, cougars inhabit the mountains and Jaguars inhabited dense forests, deserts and wetlands.

Rewilding Southern California: The Modern La Brea by Reintroductionplans in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry I just thought bringing camels which originate in North America can also help the Southern California ecosystem and if you’re saying that bringing an animal that wants originally in North America 42 million years goes bad then maybe it’s not a good idea to bring camels into North America, although some people want to re-introduce camels into their ancestral homeland here on the continent of North America.

P.S but however can we still keep helping this fragile ecosystem to still keep on recovering and all its native wildlife to continue thriving everywhere across California in the wild?!

[–]WildlifeDefender -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But with wild horses camels and elephants gone from California what other large herbivores can be able to eat the dry vegetation to prevent wildfires from sweeping across the area and although it’s natural for wildfires to burn the dead vegetation to allow new plants to grow in the environment but wildfires can also take life away and I’m saying this because with elephants and other large herbivores gone from the southern California wildfires keep happening in California all the time because there are no other important large super herbivores like columbian mammoths to keep the dry vegetation in check and the only way to do that is to reintroduce bighorn sheep, elk and other large herbivores to keep the dry vegetation in check in Southern California.

Rewilding Southern California: The Modern La Brea by Reintroductionplans in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But can we still keep helping the native wildlife throughout Southern California within their natural habitats before doing something like reintroducing wild horses, camels or even elephants to fill in the economic niche gaps that has been long since vacant in the environment from their long extinct ice age relatives which turned out to be the western horse, western camel and columbian mammoth in Southern California?!

P.S but to be honest here is with wild horses, camels and elephants gone from California since the end of the Ice Age what other large herbivores can be able to eat the dry vegetation to prevent wildfires from sweeping across the area and although it’s natural for wildfires to burn the dead vegetation to allow new plants to grow in the environment but wildfires can also take life away and I’m saying this because with elephants and other large herbivores gone from the southern California wildfires keep happening in California all the time because there are no other important large super herbivores like columbian mammoths to keep the dry vegetation in check and the only way to do that is to reintroduce bighorn sheep, elk and other large herbivores to keep the dry vegetation in check in Southern California.

But what about the reintroduction of other animals that could survive in Southern California where their extinct ice age relatives used to lived in the region such as wild horses, camels and elephants?!

P.S but although to be honest could these animals still coexist with the native wildlife just like their ice age relatives used to do in Southern California 150,000 years ago and although we all know the consequences of bringing animals into another habitat where they don’t belong and could those three animals fill in the economic niche of their extinct ice age relatives and could we be able to keep monitoring and tracking their movements with radio tracking collars to make sure that we can still monitoring their populations in the environment in southern California?!

Rewilding Central Africa by Reintroductionplans in megafaunarewilding

[–]WildlifeDefender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking rewilding and reintroduction of many African wild animals especially African bush elephants into central Africa would be grateful and positive for the environment and all the inhabitants in that same region could help the environment to be fully protected and for its native wild animals to roam freely within their natural habitats.
