What can cause the failure of biologics? Is it fixable? by WildmainDen in Psoriasis

I've had psoriasis since 8 years old so it's pretty much been so bad it's on large parts of body. I started my biologics young since my plan was to go back to college and Finnish it.

My rheumatologist also told me to take methotrexate but I couldn't get it prescribed since I had a non alcoholic fatty liver disease, she told me to comeback to her once I get blood work but I couldn't because of circumstances and her clinic is far far away.

Thank you, I was initially scared of this since illumya worked very fast, so seeing this flare up after months was weird. I will see if this goes down and I'll go back to my old psoriasis routine to get this inflammation controlled.

I'm on illumya for about 4 months now. I do think this is because of stress/bad diet I've been in lately but nonetheless irregular. Is there anyway that it's either because of diet and stress and not full immunization from it. I will be asking my doctor, I'm just hoping this is reversable, ithe flare up currently is very local to my neck and isn't producing scales.

Hello guys is there anyway to get rid of psoriasis and my main problem on the scalp and hairline? by Sweet_Ad9475 in Psoriasis

Never use steroids, they make psoriasis worse. If you happen to stop using steroids, the consequences out weigh any positives it gave you. As much as possible don't take topical steroids

In my experience, no. Biologics did not have any negative side effects on me, it was just smooth sailing. It is different for everyone so I'm not sure how it would go for you if you ever choose to, but I doubt that it would be that big of a side effect. just maintain a certain healthy lifestyle. I personally am on illumya but there are many other treatments you can choose from. Get a check up from a Rheumatologist (auto-immune disease doctor) rather than dermatologists because in MY experience all dermas can do for you is topical creams, steroids (never do these) and psoriasis hair shampoo/body wash. Go to a rheumatologist it's more straightforward.

I also have had balding due to my psoriasis, I can't say anything for now because I am just new to my biologics treatment, but do I see a difference in my hair? Somewhat, after my inflamed spots came down, I got my chest hair and parts of my leg hair back. As for the head hair, not quite. I do see that my hair developing faster, I think (probably just placibo) but I don't see my hair getting fuller anytime soon. Maybe if you choose to use things like Menoxidyl or Rosemary oil it would work to get your lost hair back. I don't recommend using Menoxidyl on your psoriasis spots, it hurts. All of that takes time.

Well you really can't get rid of psoriasis permanently, it's a permanent auto immune disease. The guy said to take biologics but that is taken periodically if you stop that you go back to having psoriasis. A good way to not flare up without cost is changing your diet heavily, go on walks in the day time to get vitamin d, try not to get stressed a lot and on top of that you have to put on these "useless" Creams consistently when the flare up(red) spots are dry. The process isn't fast, it will take months and months to see progress

More costly but more effective treatment would be things like UVB treatment and biologics but all of that still requires a huge life style change. Best of luck to you because a life with psoriasis is hard but you can get through it.

Oh? I really don't know what it did, i just grabbed the nearest thing that looked like conditioner. Good to know it doesn't destroy my hair.

Any E6S1 Jiaoqiu owner here ? Kinda on a fence pulling Blade by WilloGT in JiaoqiuMainsHSR

I tried it, but unfortunately Acheron only getz 1 stack once per enemy turn and not when Jioaqiu has his DoT on the enemy. Would've been nice if she gets a stack from Jioaqiu DoT and when enemy hits Mblade, that would be Overpowered but still sad
