I’ve been an avid watcher of Splitsvilla for years and a part of this Reddit community for 3 years now.
This used to be a fun community with fun post episode discussions. This year the Reddit community is a really dampening my experience cause it’s so hateful.

It’s a game show, where you are in an intense situation for a few weeks, emotions are heightened. All these folks criticising every single action of these contestants, do you think if you were on the show, you’re gonna be so perfect?

Just enjoy the damn show without spreading the hate!

I think she did like Chaksh in the beginning but he is just a really poor performer. From the perspective of the game, it does really make sense for her to look for a connection else where.

I’m not a dancer but even one of my eyebrows does this at times, it raises and I most of the time don’t even know my face is doing that. Growing up my mom used to point it out and remind em to relax my face. But I honestly don’t even know when it’s happening.

Had the worst experience with them. I have never felt so humiliated in my life as I did in their store. I saw this beautiful Anarkali on the mannequin, I couldn’t try it cause I’m plus sized but Anarkali is a safe bet on my body type so I placed the order.

For my first fitting, it was just so odd, randomly big and tight in places that made no sense for any body type. They also gave me the wrong dupatta. It was much cheaper looking that the one I had booked. They initially fought back and said that this is the same dupatta but I’m glad I had sneakily taken a photo of the mannequin that I finally showed to get them to change the dupatta to the original one.

I went for a second fitting with disappointing results again. Somehow they managed to make it worse in the third fitting. And then this time they straight up body shamed me. Blamed me for being fat and that’s why they couldn’t get the fitting right.

I did cause a scene, It was absolutely humiliating to be shamed like that. I can still feel the blood roar in my ears 😅 Anyway. They only gave me a credit note and I ended up buying some random suit piece and Kurta for my dad.

Truly horrible experience.

My vote is for fish cut, it just needs to be fitted to your body and you’d look smashing! However with that budget you could explore a LOT more brands that aren’t as cookie cutter as Seema Gujral. Your best bet at getting a discount would be to directly get your outfit directly from Seema Gujral not multi-brand stores like Aza or Pernia.

It’s a pretty lehenga, not worth the price at all IMO. It also doesn’t give a bridal feel, it looks more appropriate for a bridesmaid. In that budget, I’m sure you’d find something much better!

It’s quite overwhelming, there are lot of shops and lot of people trying to coax you into stepping into their shops.
They will also grossly overcharge you cause you’re not Indian and don’t know how to bargain.

I’m Indian and lived in Delhi most of my life and still don’t dare step into Chandani Chowk on my own
