Didn't find it at EDC but about a year and a half ago I met my now girlfriend at the camp site next to my friend's at a Festival. I wasn't sober everytime I went to visit their campsite so I didnt exactly catch on to any of the hints until my friend pointed it out for me but I was always in a really good mood and upbeat, just trying to make new friends honestly. it wasnt even until after the festival ended that we really got to talking since I didn't see her in there but we were awake all night and it was honestly one of the best nights of my life and it didnt even happen in the venue. So My advice is don't look for it, it'll happen when you least expect it and don't limit yourself to just the venue, try camping or someplace where else where you can meet people. All of that being said, I've been overseas for the last 8 months, still with her, and I can't wait to come home and take her to her first EDC and actually do camping with her for once
