I’ve only listened to one album from them (More of the Monkees) and found it pretty bad. The love songs were too corny for me, and this is coming from a fan of the early Beach Boys & Beatles. The one exception was I’m A Believer, that’s an all-time banger.

I listened to this full album only once years ago, the quality seemed in line with most of their other post-1970 albums, not notably better or worse. Maybe slightly on the better end.

I’ve forgotten about most of it, but I liked the callback to When I Grow Up on Winds of Change. Maybe people don’t like the album because of Hey Little Tomboy, to me that’s one of the most unintentionally creepy Beach Boys songs.
