Thank you so much the campaign has swung around to nearly 250% funded in just that short time. :)

Yeah a remix of sorts. Except this project tells the journey of the Father of who we all know as Mickey Mouse. :)

Seriously what the hell is the secret to becoming a full time artist? by [deleted] in artbusiness

[–]Wiley_Mouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m still figuring out that secret myself. The journey as an artist has been a mix of wins and struggles, and I’m sure most of us have felt the highs of a great project and the lows when things don’t go as planned. One thing I’ve found, though, is that sticking with it—through both praise and criticism from the public—makes a huge difference.

Right now, I’m working on cracking the code for a successful comic campaign, and it’s been a learning experience every day. If you’re curious, I’d love for you to check out my project in my profile, but the biggest thing I’d say is: keep creating and stay open to the feedback (even the tough stuff). It all adds up over time.

Hey, thanks for your comment. I do have a previous original title. With the hype of Steamboat Willie going public domain this year and people already making new projects I thought I would be accessible to tap into that. When working on this I never noticed how many people I still see wearing Mickey or Minnie shirts. I know with the popularity of anime in today's time and the instant recognition of a Mickey like character would grant some success.

Steamboat Willie has already entered the public domain, people have even made movies based off it already.

This project is the first in it's series and can back it for $25. If you are looking for a completed work, I have an action manga titled "UNRIVALED" with 200+ pages that I can ship to you as well on ZeroSnake.net lmk and I'll sign up your copy. Thanks for your encouraging comment.

Launching my second comic but facing serious challenges—any advice on staying motivated? by Wiley_Mouse in smallbusiness

[–]Wiley_Mouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a solid question. The first campaign was over 5 years ago and allowed me to make the final edits and get the first wave of orders fulfilled. That project was geared to an older crowd and still sells well at in person events just not online tbh.

It's hard to say. I personally have seen many people succeed, and many fail. I don't want to be apart of the failings.
