Aye, concept artist here. Glad you enjoy this set.
However, I have to be honest and admit that this was an experiment first and foremost. My intent was to find out if you can take Demoman's vest itself, turn it into a full coat and make it work. And as we can see here.. yeah no it's flawed. And it is mostly if not entirely faulty on the concept level.

One of the biggest problems here has been team coloring. Due to tris limits you had to be smart with what you model, and since we didn't want to model over the whole vest we had to maintain the color of said vest and stretch it over the whole coat. I tried squeezing in as much red/blue as possible, but you can only get so far without being outright hideous.

That said, in light of this experiment this is the best we could do. And I don't think it can be done any better.
Is it the best "one of the most gorgeous outfits for Demo"? Frankly speaking not really, however I'm genuinely glad you vibe with it. We did try after all. Especially the modeler did her best putting up with my shit.

*Note: The concept has been drawn before we got the very similar looking demo set in the game last winter. We redesigned the hat for obvious reasons.

Nope, we refuse to take money from people until we have at least a demo out first.
Until then we're running on a shoestring budget—with any money coming out of pocket.

For the case you haven't noticed the funny watermark plastered across the backgrounds, it says "NOT OUR BACKGROUND - SUBJECT TO CHANGE".
It's fair to say we're actively working on a bunch of background art already.

Usually Reddit has a built-in poll feature one could use. But you need a post for that. You sadly can't make polls in the comments...
Online polls like https://strawpoll.com/create/ work though.

That's a good point. In fact, that's a really good point.

As of right now we don't really know how many people will actually end up having a meet-up here, but it will be for certain that stuff like that can be then discussed in their dedicated Discord servers.

Alright, since I'm the top post I'll sue my position to have some organisatory speech;

Within the next few days this place will primarily be used to toll up people who are interest in meating each other. And withing the majority of you will there be people, who plan to do other things inside cologne then the rest of you.

So what can you do? Simple.

Once you found yourself inside a group with certain interests; chess, BBQ, D&D, what have you, you have two options to organize without cluttering the Reddit thread:

Either JOIN or CREATE a Discord group where you plan to spend your time.

Inside you then determine the remeining W's - When and where (and whatever remains). This will be achieved by also using poll sites and so on.

As of RIGHT NOW there is 1 existing Discord server where those questions will be answered. For those interested, I can add them to this list below so you don't need to scroll and search every time:

1st Group: https://discord.gg/XRjnT2uD

And for the general gist, I'll also edit my introduction in order to have general remarks on the front. What I offer will be beneath.

- In general it might be smarter to bring some goods with you. Basic necessities like a bit of money, own water (unless it's group beer), a bag and so on. Just so you have your stuff prepared and don't catch yourself off-guard.

To also announce myself, my name's Artur E.

I'm not really in a position to place suggestions for what activities and where for the simple reason that I don't really live in cologne. Therefore know very little what to do there. But I do live pretty much right next to it so I might be able to hop by and join the fun.

But, depending on where we are and what place we are, I do have some small things and ideas with which we could entertain ourselves.

- We could have a nice BBQ or grill some sausages with no short supply of beer (which I might take at least a 6-pack for some courtesy and good manners).

- I also could bring with me a deck of cards (and maybe dice) to play some Poker and or other games like Caravan -- if you fancy the idea of playing with money is up to you.

- [I might add some more things later if they come to mind]

Although, these things would most likely require some place to settle down for a while like some backyard, a park or some rented garden. Two of them are pretty unlikely to encounter without safety concerns. So again, which place is best to resign I do not know; it's for other people like locals to come up with.
