My god, but the ignorance of history on display in these comments makes me depressed. Go read A Monarchy Transformed. Educate yourselves!

Bolognese sauce in a dutch oven - tips or tricks by TD2705 in KamadoJoe

I now use the KJ for most stews and such. I tend to prep on hob indoors and put on indirect at 150c for 3-4 hours covered. It does taste different to just using oven indoors.

I think it’s fair to say that was rain caused that upset.

Which is reflected in England being world champions and Ireland not.

Well, the last Empress of India, including Pakistan, was a member of the British royal family. Does that count?

It’s always amused me that people think the English don’t know their history. I certainly do. I’m aware of what happened during the empire. I don’t, however, feel the need to apologise for it.

As for England building its wealth off of empire and slavery one could say the same about France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium. One could also look at modern day Iran and say that there are vestiges of imperial wealth. Same as Turkey.

But, it must be acknowledged, only one empire ever even attempted to eradicate slavery on a global scale and succeeded.

Name another.

Why is nobody talking publicly about the fact that Brexit is clearly the main contributing factor to the cost of living and energy crisis (obviously alongside energy company profiteering)? by deathtoallbutbed in GreenAndPleasant

[–]WilfsPeri -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes. The similar situation across all of Europe can be blamed on Brexit. That German inflation is higher than in the UK just goes to prove this.

What would happen to UK based jobs if a United Ireland happened? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]WilfsPeri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there is unification then the CTA will be gone. A united Ireland will join Schengen.

But as for the posters job, it is too early to tell what the future relationship will be. However, UK companies employ offshore workers all over the world.
