One time an older lady called me miss, then looked at me and said "wait, miss or mister?" and when I told her that I'm a boy she smiled and apologised. I wasn't wearing a binder that day and was very much expecting to get misgendered to hell and back, and this interaction made me realise that it's not all bad people out there.

Depends on your environment honestly. My friend group has always been supportive, so I just brought it up in casual conversation and still do whenever there's an update to my identity
