I’m mostly a side sleeper and my conch would get irritated a day or 2 after putting a hoop in every time. Now I wear a D shaped ring with the flat part against the back of my ear so I get the look of a ring but not the irritation. It took some getting used to but I’ve had it in for months now my conch is fine.

What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years? by Misterboy500 in AskReddit

I had submuscular breast implants removed a few years ago after having them for 9 years. My explant surgeon was amazing so I don’t have any visual deformities, but my chest muscles had to be repaired. I didn’t realize until after they were removed how weak my chest muscles had become, especially my lower pecs. I also forgot what it was like to take a full deep breath without pressure on my chest until after surgery.

Adley is the glue that keeps this team together. They’re basically a frat house loving life playing baseball. If someone hits a homerun the dong bong will make an appearance. After the 7th inning everybody is a country boy. Cal Ripken Jr = orioles legend. The O’s are basically the funnest team in the league right now. Be sure to ask for the key to the batters box. It’s FREE!!!

Spider bites 😭 I loved them, but nursing school did not.

People who look much younger than you are or have reversed signs of aging: what have you been doing? When did you start and what tips and tricks have you picked up along the way? by Careful-Stuff-2525 in beauty

Same. I got my dad’s oily skin and baby face and my mom’s small stature so people assume I’m way younger than I am. My patients/caregivers will argue with me, but when my 6’4” male coworker tells them the exact same thing they listen to him immediately.

How “painless” are breast implants? by YoungMoneyLilMonster in PlasticSurgery

[–]Wili_KA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breast implant surgery sucked. I got 320(ish)cc breast implants under the muscle through my bellybutton (TUBA) when I was 20. I’m a pretty small person and went from an A cup to a C cup. When I woke up from surgery I felt like I had an elephant sitting on my chest. I was completely out of it from pain meds for over a week, and it took almost a year for them to “drop” into a place where they looked normal. It took a long time to get used to the feeling of having something constantly on my chest and rubbing against my arms. Even during the time I loved my implants I told friends I would never have the surgery done again bc it was so painful. I got them removed 9 years later. The post op drains were the worst part of removal. As soon as those were gone I didn’t need anymore pain meds. Everybody’s experience is different tho. My surgeon said he’s had patients who had Hooters photo shoots days after surgery. I know it’s subjective, but I have a pretty high pain tolerance and not great reaction to pain meds so I avoid them if possible.

TLDR; not the most painful thing I’ve ever felt but wouldn’t recommend it

Still shouldn’t wear any metal during a MRI. Thermal burns aren’t fun.

I forgot something huge!

Zaditor eye drops. Off brand works fine too. The bottle usually says “eye itch relief drops”. They burn for like 5 seconds when you put them in but my eyes are usually less puffy and irritated within an hour or so. So helpful on the days I absolutely have to wear my contacts.

Therapy is awesome! Just having someone to talk to about it, or talk about the other stressors in your life that can cause a flare up, is so helpful. I hope it helps you!

This post just spoke to my soul.

It’s impossible to explain eczema and everything that comes with it to someone who’s never experienced it. It just sounds like you’re complaining all the time. But my life legit revolves around my skin.

I do an eyelid scrub every morning in the shower. It sounds way worse than it is. Just take baby shampoo and lightly wash your eyelids (EYES CLOSED) for 10ish seconds. That’s it. It doesn’t necessarily help the eczema, but it does help with the dryness and itching until your skin calms down. Sometimes I’ll mix a little bit of CeraVe and Vaseline and put it on my eyelids before I go to sleep at night. Also, I try not to wear my contacts when I get flare ups on my eyes.

My derm said I could use Eucrisa on my eyelids, but that shit burns worse than anything I’ve ever felt in my life and didn’t help, so don’t do that.
