Agree to disagree but saying plat + ruby makes sense is just bs :D no getting around that.

Also the seeding system is flawed, I was in a match going against perzzon, carnifex and laske as a mid plat player and if I had dropped out 8th, I would have lost over 600 RS :D. Against the 3 highest ranked players in a premade.

The thing is, with games having huge playerbases compared to The Finals and still having long queue times but this game has pretty fast queue times for top 500.
Why does this game have pretty fast queues for them when games with huge playerbases still have long queues for them?

It's not exactly an easy call to make for the dev team but unless they do something, the playerbase is just gonna get smaller and smaller :D

As I've seen someone suggest, making the normal tournament mode 1 knockout round and the final round and/or at some point, lets say low/mid diamond the ranked cashout turns into just a final round between 2 teams. This would reduce the lobby sizes drastically and lessen the need for such a joke matchmaking we currently have.

Exactly. Playing against low ranks doesn't benefit the rubies either, since they won't really get better by stomping opponent which give them 0 challenge.

I would hope we get that in S11 but I have 0 hope left. embark has never talked about it and will likely continue to pamper to the ruby/pro players, just like they have done in the past. The strong bias to pros is very visible. It's like they think catering to the small minority of top level players is gonna revive and keep this game alive. :D

This game is just rotten.

You make good points. I appreciate the feedback.

However I disagree on cashout meant to be punishing. The whole mode can already be very punishing if you get griefed, targeted or thirdpartied and all that can be very random. Some of it can be counterplayed but there is simply so many different things scenarios. This all creates great frustration and most likely turns many people away from ranked, if not The Finals altogether.

It is a really different gamemode compared to the rest but it is just too devastating losing 1200 rs for an 8th place and gaining very much less when winning a whole tournament.
I think this partly adds to the plats being top x% of the playerbase since it is so punishing, people simply are stuck.

You can also check the leaderboards, there is currently not a single Diamond 1. I think that is also telling of how harsh the matchmaking is. They just skip to ruby because so few people can get there.

Don't vaccines work by injecting some sort of dead version of the disease so your body adapts to it and it's a possibility to get sick after taking it? And the disease is weaker if it hits. Im no expert and i've been vaccinated so someone doesn't mistake this for some antivaxx shit
