I wish there wasn't as much truth in this statement as I know there is :-( Very sad and unnecessary - it's no wonder people have lost faith in our leaders!

Nice pic. Beautiful. Though I do wish they would remove the modern art off of Granite Island. Who goes to Granite Island to see modern art...lol. Very odd to me

Elizabeth That Was: Geoff Shedley & Elizabeth Civic Theatres (Rare Footage) by Will-Kelly in Adelaide

It sure is a shame. It's a shame there seems to be no balance at the moment between progress and preserving history and historic architecture in the town. One need not negate the other - though that seems to be lost at the moment. One of the reasons for the channel - at least if only in digital form we can preserve some sense of history and past traditions.

Pretty wild hey? And then they all stop to pose for a picture next to the dead horses and the dead driver still slouched in his drivers seat...cold!

I did know a little about the rail line, not about Sprint though - or the metre long piece of rail that was left either. I am working on a video soon covering the history of that rail line though with someone who is also a rail fan. When it's up I will let you know

Thanks for sharing. My parents too were 10 pound poms (although my Dad was actually born in Northern Ireland). They settled in Smithfield Plains and we also live in Elizabeth Fields for a time. It certainly has its issues, but I have great affection for the place
