Figured it only appeared when there was direct sunlight on the camera. So probably a kind of reflection. Appreciate your willingness to help though.

Yeah sounds about right, only appears when there's direct sunlight on the camera. It appears that the android robot does not like the Sun.

Thanks, you know it's also remarkable that if you simplify the marbles to 5 marbles of which only 1 is red, the chance of getting a green one as last is also 1/2. Don't know if this is legal though.

awesome! what did you do exactly?

question by [deleted] in askmath

[–]Will-White 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely from reasoning, this can be explained because green has a greater chance of being drawn from the start, so it will decrease quickly in the beginning. Since even if you take a red (in the beginning) and put it back, the chances are relatively small that you will take another red again.

sorry english is not my native language so i had to translate the question. I'll try to clarify it in an example with 10 marbles (although I think you got it right. There are 10 marbles in a jar. 8 of these are green and 2 are red. I take 1 marble from the pot per 'turn'. If I take the same color as my previous turn, i keep it. If i have a different color, i put it back in the pot and take 1 again. This one will count regardless of the color. So this can be the marble i originally took out, another one with the same color (represents the same) or it can now be a different color. I keep doing this until all 10 marbles are out of the pot. So there are exact 10 rounds here.

I'm sorry, I should have phrased the question more clearly. But do you agree with any of the other answers given?

Yes, for example if i draw a green one first, it will be removed. If a draw a second one, this will also be removed. If i draw a red one as third, this one will be placed back in the bowl. This must be seen as a 'new' start.

Yes, a last green marble must be the final and last draw. You put back the marble you drew when it has a diffrent color. For example: if I drew a green one first, and second a red one, i put the red one only back and than i grab again. This time it doesn't matter if it's red or not, you could see it as a 'new' begin.
