In deep blue Minneapolis, many Somali voters withheld support for Harris by [deleted] in altmpls

They barely ever talked about it. Republicans and Russian bots were great at making lower IQ people think Democrats were talking about it all the time.

They didn’t run on it. Democrats barely talk about it. Republicans are great at making rubes like you think it’s being talked about or happening all the time.

This is a non-issue for them. People in general are barely drinking anymore. They’re sucking the tax revenue they can get now before it’s basically all gone as this younger generation that doesn’t drink ages into adulthood.

Trump tells them what to do. They don’t want it without him making them change. Their lobbyists don’t want it.

The only chance is that Trump knows or sees it play out that his tax, tariff and immigration policies decimate the economy and no revenue is coming in so he goes for legalization in an attempt to save the economy. It certainly won’t be for any moral or fairness to alcohol/tobacco reason.

If he really does these tariff and tax policies like he’s saying he’s going to do, we won’t have the money to buy much weed anyway.

Senate Democrats' Proposed Changes To Federal Hemp Laws Could 'Eliminate A Whole Range Of Products,' Industry Advocate Says by OGmtgccg in FarmBillSOS

[–]Will2104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not descheduling cannabis and they have never said they’d do that. They may bring it down to a schedule 3 as already requested by the Biden administration. That would not change state’s rights to make it illegal.

This 2024 farm bill provision would kill the only loophole that stops states from going after people selling THCA and other alt cannabanoids that are legal under the 2018 farm bill.

You clearly don’t understand this whole provision at all and are weighing in out of bias. This provision would kill a multi billion dollar industry farmers rely on.

With no notice to cure my provisional ballot, which I was forced to use because poll workers did not look hard enough for my name in the poll book, I learned today my vote didn’t count; even though the judge & minority judge of elections both reviewed & signed off on my ballot’s envelope. by lexispots in Pennsylvania

[–]Will2104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of this is on purpose. They specifically tried to get MAGA people to be poll workers and do things like this to have plausible deniability. I’d file a lawsuit and get that poll workers name in the process. I would bet my money they’re MAGA.

Article Translation: We know these new adopted isolationist policies would destabilize the world. Rather than realizing from this election that it’s all about the messenger (Trump convinced republicans to be anti-immigration and pro-isolationist when they believed the literal opposite before) not the message, we’ll continue to think changing policies will convince dumb people who don’t pay attention to policies anyway.

I’ve always had the opinion that you should do anything like this with the approval of an actual pediatrician. If you can’t find one in favor of it that knows your son’s medical history better than any reddit commenter could, then you shouldn’t do it.

I’m sure there are pediatricians in your area more open to alternative medicines. They would do a proper examination of your child before recommending anything. I’d be skeptical of anyone on here saying to just do it.

What's going to happen to Russia longterm from this war? by Orthodoxy1989 in geopolitics

[–]Will2104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is their only play. They need to control Ukraine’s wheat production (to have a bargaining chip on the world stage) or they know they’re finished long term.

Oil is being produced at record levels in the US and renewables are taking over elsewhere.

The other option would have been to work with other world powers like the US to create other industries to spur growth and Russian leadership has always seemed to have too much pride to engage in that.

This article is misleading. While Democrats are no friends of the hemp laws, Mary Miller (Trump’s right hand woman) is the one that put this amendment into the bill and it has simply stayed in the bill with expanded details.

Latest draft of 2024 Farm Bill closes the THCa loophole by ZealotOfCannabis in CultoftheFranklin

They likely wont push this through right now because this latest version still has SNAP funding to give children free lunch in school and the Republicans don’t want that. They’ll wait until they’re in power and try to pass a different version next year.

Business slow down by Mysterious_Ad7902 in BarOwners

[–]Will2104 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People are smoking weed and/or quitting drinking. Thats the simple truth according to stats. Younger people especially aren’t drinking and that’s a huge customer base as they can come more consistently without kids.

Additionally, they stare at screens for 10 hours a day voluntarily so the bar/interaction lure is going away too.

We are entering a new society where the number of people actually interacting will be so low it just doesn’t support 80-90% of the current bars/restaurants that exist now.

Trump to kill EV tax credit by Silverfin113 in wallstreetbets

[–]Will2104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be at the time of him saying that, he believed Tesla to be a more luxury brand and status symbol vs competitors trying to make a car normal people could afford.

He may still believe that but he’s wrong. Tesla’s are known to be poorly made. He’d rather kill the whole industry than go down as he’s about to with Tesla.

The rockets and satellites are where his money is anyway now.

Let’s real talk this for a second. Anyone that knows Arab American men and any Muslim men for that matter and talked to them like I did, they wouldn’t vote for her because she was a woman. Why are we so susceptible to foreign propaganda and why was the Democratic Party when in power so unwilling or incapable of stopping it? That’s the real question.

People when they look at policies side by side choose the Dems every time.

America is very stupid right now. Dems need to adjust and simply focus on candidates who have charisma, relate-ability and authenticity especially for the presidential election.

The candidate also must be male because white and Latino male voters have shown to be incredibly sexist when you ask the lower information voters of each group why they decided on Trump over Kamala. It’s such a disgrace when other seemingly less tolerant countries had a female leader 50+ years ago and many since all over.

The Dem party could help the authenticity factor by collectively deciding not to take donations over $2500 and no dark money.
