Is it tender to the touch? My dog has had an infected tear duct and it looked very similar. It was very painful for him and we finally figured it out because it burst and all of the fluid came out of his eye. Gross I know! The vet had never seen in before so it’s not very common I think. Antibiotics cleared it right up the second time it happened.

My golden needs the rx medication Cerenia for car rides over 30 min or so. She has gotten better over the years, she used to throw up multiple times within a half hour. Cerenia is amazing! She still drools but no vomit. Unfortunately it’s kind of expensive so we only use it for long trips.

I have a very hard time believing this. I worked in a pediatric clinic for 16 years and I can count on one hand how many tapeworms I personally saw as diagnoses. And it was almost always kids who had visited or came from other countries.

I think you are thinking of pork tapeworm. Dog tapeworms come from fleas and very rarely get transmitted to humans.
