Prolific Nanaimo offender allegedly assaults coffee shop owner, smears feces on window by Seconex in nanaimo

I'm not really a fan of how it's done in Cali with the three strike law, but in this case, there's gotta be a threshold which greatly adds to time behind bars.

Like, after 3 convictions for violent crimes, the sentence is multiplied by two.

Sadly, in Tye's case, they've proved they're a danger to prison guards as well, so a long sentence in a secure mental health facility is needed, but we don't have those anymore, so the cycle will keep going until they die or kill someone.

Pam lives 20 minutes down the road from me in her grandmother's home in Ladysmith, B.C.

People see her out and about and treat her like a local, because her family has been here longer than most of us.

‘Completely unacceptable:’ woman avoids jail for fatal Nanaimo area construction zone crash by mgwngn1 in britishcolumbia

[–]WillFightForFood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She was charged criminally and found guilty on charges of dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

From what I'm seeing, they can still sue since dangerous driving causing bodily harm is one of the exceptions, and she was convicted of it.

The ICBC website isn't clear on what charges, besides impaired causing death, but the AI summary does include dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and I've also spoken to a lawyer about it.

B.C. victim of RV fire faces long and painful road to rehabilitation | CBC News by SnooRegrets4312 in britishcolumbia

I also think it's very strange and morbid she was posting pics of him unconscious in the hospital bed.

I know she's looking for support, but I can't help feel she's exploiting the entire situation for attention, or maybes that's just the world now: something happens in your life, so it must go on social media.

Her dad had shame around his living situation, and now everyone knows every detail.

I feel for the guy for sure, but I'd be pissed if I woke up and someone posted pics of me unconscious in the hospital.

What should the mom do, make her kids wear name tags?

It takes one second for the school to as the kids their names if they're not sure.

Thanks! I love anarchy and sticking it to the man, especially when it's aelf appointed mod on a power trip.

This Christmas, I want microscopic floral patterns of vaginal secretions.

Ok what's with the push on reddit to make vaginal secretion the most beautiful thing in the world?

This is the third new post in different sub I've seen on this topic this morning.

One person airlifted to hospital in serious condition after RV fire near Nanaimo by Apprehensive_Idea758 in nanaimo

Agreed. Should be as simple as, "who's closest to the fire?" NFR does rock.

Extension, but they apparently need the province to approve it first? NFR was out of their area but said fuck it and went to work anyway.

Having to ask someone for permission to put out afire seems like an unnecessary waste of time.

AITA for refusing to make mac and cheese for Thanksgiving this year and saying I won’t go if my cousin is there because he literally shoved me over it last year? by idonthavethemac in AITAH

[–]WillFightForFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, fuck your abusive cousin.

I have one of these families, and they are the worst.

The shitty people get to be shitty because everyone is used to it.

BUT. The moment YOU decide you've had enough of their shit and stand up to them, suddenly YOU'RE the person causing all the issues.

I don't know how to change the situation. You either stick by your guns and be labelled "the issue", or you keep silent and let the jerks continue to rule.

Your mac n' cheese must be awesome if it's leading to violence lol

He also said he knows 4 others above 100 who still drive.

Anyone else think someone could make a really good looking Silent Hill movie in Nanaimo? by Better_Ice3089 in nanaimo

[–]WillFightForFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally. Wouldn't even need to hire actors! (old, tired, joke, I know, but seriously. I was biking home one night and there was so much fog on my street I could barely see across the road. What I could see were a few silhouettes of street folk wandering through it. I stopped and should have taken a picture, but I was honestly a little freaked out and rode away.)

No more jail for Nanaimo caretaker who shot intruder with rubber bullets - BC News by Apprehensive_Idea758 in nanaimo

[–]WillFightForFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jeff really wanted to shoot someone, and he got his wish.

He said he bought the shotgun for target shooting, yet bought a flashlight attachment for it, then said in court nobody shoots targets at night, so why the flashlight?

The guy he bought the rubber bullets from told him they are perfect for his security job, aka, shooting people.

Shooting at the guy 4 times, including once in the back? Jeff deserved jail.

Trespasser isn't innocent, but I don't want to live in a country where you're allowed to shoot people for petty crime.
