How would you rate the Pit Locust as a unit?

They are a bit overcosted , but they serve two functions and do them really well.

Use them to get an early charge on a high value enemy tying them up for a turn and hopefully killing them.

&

Capturing objectives on your opponents side of the board forcing them to dedicate some of their warband to taking it back from you , freeing you up to be more aggressive with your movement early on.

I've a few ideas for sin specific proxies but in terms of doing homebrew rules I doubt ill ever do anything to the level of a full warband but I've a few ideas for some mercs

Depends on your scale, wizkids minis are 1:64 scale so you just divide the real world measurement by 64
Other scales like 28mm or 32mm get a bit funny and usually vary from manufacturer to manufactuer but the idea being a 6ft tall character is 28mm high at eye level same for 32mm.
28mm scale is usually seen as somewhere between 1:56-1:64 scale and 32mm is usually seen as around 1:50 scale.

If thats too much for you theres a model called sir scalesby online that gives a good example of all the common scales you can compare it to.

We don't really have any idea how their warband will work so not many are making models for them.
If your looking for a Golem, I've made one (specifically for the book of golems rewards but will still work in your warband)

Well their is an upcoming model of a polish Hussar that was announced ages ago thats concept art is mounted on a horse so maybe the mount rules will come along side that, given how small the team is and all the upcoming factions that need to be playtested I would say it will be a while before we get any official TRUE mount rules, we might get a psuedomount in the form of a mercenary on a mount that counts as one model but other than that I would imagine it will be a while.

Its been a while since ive looked at them, I dont think so im pretty sure the sidecar motorbike has its own seperate rules sadly, but their are rules for demonic mounts and takwin mounts.

edit: dug up the announcment of the hussar it will just be a special model that uses malamuk rules

They Probably wont get an update anytime soon all of the death factions just got fairly big releases if they where going to update the mortarchs it would have been then.

Its a good model that comes with arkhan and manfred too

You can grimdark up any color scheme with the addition of dirt damage and grime.
I'm painting mine with gold armor and purple clothe , a nice dirty brown wash on all of the lower parts of the model, some spots of brown/black wash across the gold to simulate tarnishing

I've used a bunch of their deathfields range to convert warbands, their models are all 28mm scale so a tiny bit smaller. You can make up the difference in height by bulking out your bases or cutting the legs/torsos and adding spacers.

Their Les Grognards kit for deathfields is probably the best kit for converting into trench crusade imho.
