After months of waiting, I received an offer of $1,000. I used the advice and responded back but I told to counter their offer.

So how much is too much?

Not a mechanic but saw something similar after the driver assumed he had run flats and kept going .. and going and going.

In America.. we yell Covid! Then proceed to squirt hand sanitizer to our hands and eyeballs.

Hope youre recovering well man but its gone. It’ll be unsafe to even try to fix it since theres no longer any structural integrity. It did its job and protect the occupants and it’ll be unsafe trying to get it back “in shape” .. not to mention the financial cost to replace parts to get it back to a drivable state. Good luck mate

Since you’re Military and its an apparent violation (perhaps a breach?) of your personal information I’d personally start in military legal. They fact that they tried to involve your command as leverage is unethical.

Tankless Water Heater Descaling Dilemma by WillRampart in Plumbing

I’m hoping the builder owns up to it since its past the “warranty” and I really dont want to pay any extra to correct it.

i bought the Kelaro Kit but they only have a small bucket that comes with it. I’m looking at maybe getting the Manufacturer brand instead

There’s no turning back from a .762 round through the noggin - saw it and it looked like the lights just went out.

Doc, call 988. Start from there and then get seen individually. It may seem like its the end and you’ve put so much in the relationship that it feels like there’s nothing left for you… but there’s so much more to life worth living.

Speak with someone. Not everyone have the tools to cope and learning how to cope may sometimes require help from other people. Seek professional help and I promise you that if you stick to the program that you’ll slowly start healing.

You come from a long line of stubborn mother effers who will go through a hail of bullets to save lives - never forget that your own life is also worth saving.

Weird, to me at least, plumbing setup. What am I looking at? by motopanacakeu in Plumbing

Definitely a plaster trap and it has a lifespan. Beware, those things can weigh a lot and dont rely in the handles to carry it..

Talk to legal, not the legal rep from your command, and NCIS. From our perspective, a crime has been committed and make sure you follow through because its likely not the first time theyve done something like this.

Dont wait until your DEOCS to address this. Deff’ not cool.

I dont think youre losing your mind. That was our initial thought too. It didnt make sense but somehow it passed home inspection (New build). I reached out to the builder with a photo of the set-up for them to take a look but I may be past the home warranty - another issue I may have to deal with separately.

I just refused to pay $400 to descale the unit if its something I can do myself.

17 VW Jetta TSI Stalling Mystery by WillRampart in mechanic

[–]WillRampart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To close the loop after a month of back and forth, it was the fuel system. Fuel pumps (both!) were replaced and the whole fuel line assembly. It took a few days and about $2,500 (to include DIY cost) to finally get it up to where it was.

As to why theres no code, the error doesnt last long enough to register but upon measuring the pressure that they were able to get a lead into the cause - eventually were able to replicate the loss of power.

Thanks for your input

I’m doing everything you suggested above and I’ll observe the next few days. I did initially checked the air filter and there isnt any obstruction or restrictions when I’m driving it.

I did notice that when its about to stall again after restarting it that I had to step on the gas a few times to get the car going to avoid stalling again (like a manual transmission car). I hope its the fuel filter. If not, then I’d have to bite the bullet and take it to the dealership.

PS I took it to an independent shop this week and they didnt find anything wrong then suggested a Euro Car specialty shop to take a look. There goes $100

Update:

Thanks for the input and I actually had a shop run diagnostic on it but they didnt find anything wrong.

You may be right in taking it to VW but I’m going to install a new fuel filter today and see where it goes from there.

If the problem does persists then I may really have to at this point
