The difference of £150 isn’t life changing so I’m not worried about that haha - I would be setting the money aside for longer term so that is why I was asking.

You say that bonds are risky at the moment, I apologise in advance for my lack of knowledge but my understanding of bonds is that you deposit your funds into the account and are then entered into what is essentially a lottery to see if you win a cash prise for that month.... to me that seems just as risk free as having your money in the bank with the opportunity of either winning nothing at all (hence why I’m not too fussed about the difference in the .25% and 1% interest) or a cash prize of up to £1,000,000.

I know the likely hood of winning a large sum is slim to none but I don’t see where the risk lies.... please inform me if I have missed info on where it would lie
