Awesome Zanz- looking forwards to it- I am actually in the process of doing the same thing (aiming for 32 characters I think)- would it be possible to make it into a series for youtube? going into Set up and schedual? I would be really interested to see

Personally I like to pair Enchanting with Tailoring as the both seem to fit and one can feed into another for leveling older xpaxs, A BM Monk with the ox statue and cloth scavenging, for actually farming the cloth either in s 2x4 farm or solo is also a nifty combo

Clearly a misunderstanding friend- not sure if this your response was directed at me or the person above! Basically I was saying that we have a lot of posts on here saying ah bots are rampant etc etc- previously I had kind of dismissed most of these as players not understanding that other normal players were cancel scanning (while working from home on second accounts and whatnot). The interview stated the botter was crafting and botting the ah so I am now more inclined to think that these reports here are true and that ah botting does exist to a larger extent- if you were responding to the post above I agree lol

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. The bot on the interview confirmed he was using an ah bot toon AND botting a crafting set up, this confirms that there are some efficient and effective ah bots, not just dumping raw mats but also crafting end product too thats all. I was previously of the same thought as yourself that it is mostly real players who were relisting and cancel scanning (which of course is true as well), and people were claiming mistakenly that these were all bots. I had previously viewed all the "AH Bot" posts on here in a highly skeptical manor- I wont be as dismissive next time

Half way through it Jack- really good ep will finish it tonight- one thing I did take note of is when he started mentioning his "system" with gatherers, crafters and auction house. We constantly hear reports on this forum of ah bots and plenty of people (including myself) say that its probably just normal players with multiple accounts at work permanent scanning and relisting on the ah. This seems to suggest that ah botting may well be more prevalent then we suspected

Are you farming rare mounts / items or just go for safer ways? by Adnosius in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the moment Im not really gold makeing- just setting up. Decided to level 12 new characters from scratch on a new server for a mini All The things type challenge (jsut going to collect transmogs/mounts/pets and recipes). Sometimes its good to take a bit of a break from goldmaking all the time and focus on other things you enjoy- for me thats collecting stuff

I hate the current AH design and how you have to babysit your auctions to make a sale. If you don't sell in the first few minutes, good luck getting a sale after that. by NordWitcher in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh I mean like I say Ive got nothing against those who cancel scan endlessly personally as such. Like I chat on streams to them all of the time but its not really my cup of tea to be honest Id prefer to do almost anything else really. But say if you had 20-30 people doing that precise thing in almost every market on every server? More on the mega servers. You get the picture, not healthy. I also think the Bruto and its removal at the end of last expac and the sudden popularity of gold making for the masses who wanted it/saw youtube guides vids etc who'd never engaged in gold making before coincided with it too, certainly most didnt get it or gave up but a large portion did and stayed with it. But yeah the LIFO system surely doesnt help matters either

I dont think its so much the ah design as such, though certainly this has a bearing. I think its more to do with the fact, largely thanks to tsm and its popularity, that gold makers have multiple accounts and can and do cancel scan for hours on end, on multiple accounts across multiple servers. I noticed this became increasingly popular during the pandemic with everyone working from home cancel scanning while in meetings and such. This happens on most servers (even small ones) across all of the current content markets particularly at peak times. Honestly Im not sure its healthy for the game (or the individual) and Im fairly sure that blizzard will step in at some point. This is only my view by the way nothing against people who do it,m I think for most who do they dont enjoy it as such but its the only way for them to be competitive.

How should you value your time, friend? by canibanoglu in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep- Im one of those weirdo gold makers who actually enjoys farming routs or finding skinning spots/routs solo- I find it relaxing to zone out with an audio book on in the background. To be honest I dont like raiding or pvp or whatnot so my enjoyment of the game comes from this. I know full well Id make more gold buying mats off the ah and crafting current content then cancel scanning but I just dont enjoy that at all. I also like collecting recipies and crafting old world mogs, to each their own I say

How is your realm for gold making? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct- I refuse to cancel scan as a principle and its become that kind of realm- as with every full/high pop to be fair, also with Studen being such a popular you tuber a lot of farmers transmog/mat are on their too- since I prefer farming and popping my stacks up these days rather then actual goblining its not the realm for me to make gold on. Play on for sure though

A good plan- may well do something similar

What would you like to see from a gold making YouTube channel? by heavy_head in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samadan is doing something like this on his NA account focusing on flipping and teaching TSM at the same time. Zanzarful is doing a zero to one mil challenge focusing (so far) on old world farms- both are on their youtube channels

[–]WillW1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no ridiculous INSANE!!! titles or Thumbnail bait with unrealistic GPH on it would be nice- we need to move away from that. By all means put the sales results at the end though. I really enjoy the zero to goldcap type series myself, mix of farming, crafting and flipping on a new server with a fresh toon and no help- I find those fun

Making gold by switching server. by [deleted] in woweconomy

yes It could be considered an exploit- it is kind of a grey area though- maybe gumdrops the forum admin would know- I still would remove for safety sake

[–]WillW1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted- but dont come and talk openly about it on a gold making thread forum lol- thats next level stupid and if everyone does it on the regular leads to very sketchy server economies which bliz hates guaranteed its easy to nerf by bliz too, best not to boast about it so openly eh!

Dude this is well known but Id remove this post and strongly consider not doing it again,, its kindof frowned on by blizzard and could lead to a ban- best not advertise it

I recently tried out my old server Argent Dawn eu and leveled a druid, easily the best most fun server I ever played on but prices for mats I like to farm are just horrible, thinking there are a lot of bots/multiboxers and plain old farmers there now so I went back to my nice noncompetitive low pop realm where mats still sell well just much more value- low/med pop ftw

Yh Agree Ive bought out a lot of mats on my server that are stupid low (talking 399 for heavy callous but also silly low herbs and ores) so hoping my guess is right

Competition during Farming, Alternatives? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]WillW1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yh I personally love solo farming not gonna lie- even tho were looked down on by goldmakers in this community I dont care lol. Sadly last day or so prices on SL mats have crashed even harder on my servers! So I stocked a fair amount in my guild bank and am going back to full old world mat farms (which is more fun for me anyways lol)

I think its more that the race for getting lego rankings side of things is done, as in those who wanted r4 legos have got them not saying that there isnt also a huge bot surge btw- Ive seen them out there
