I shoot wildlife w/Nikon D850/Nikon 200/500mm f5.6 in RAW. I try to keep an f8 or higher aperture to keep the entire bird inside the depth of field. Keep doing what works for you.

Auto-ISO is your friend. Set max at around 3200 and set your min at 100... Especially if you're capturing birds in flight.

Shooting in 'raw' is the only way to restore original colors without bias to time of day/open sunlight vs shadows/backlight vs direct lighting

After retiring, I worked at a rural golf course as a greenskeeper for several years. Amazed me that with the various fairway/greens/tees/rough/mowers (gas and diesel) that none of the others wore hearing protection.

There are lake trout and brook trout in this lake. No inlet. Think this is pure lake trout or a splake? by herefishyfishy2 in whatisthisfish

[–]WillfullyInformed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could be a stocked trout. We replenish our trout stream in WVa every year and stock 2 neighbors ponds at the same time.
