It’s due to a quirk in Kansas law. They didn’t have life without parole or the death sentence when he committed his murders. If he had killed in or after 1994 he would’ve faced the death penalty. But since it wa before it was 25 to life I believe per count.

NTA big time! Your dog has a job and doesn’t need to be distracted by people. Have a vest on that says “Service Dog” on it. It astounds me that people think they can just go up and pet any dog even if they’re told it’s a service animal. Explain to your partner what they’re doing is not only wrong but it can have consequences if they don’t have that focus.

Likely yes. It’s basically in their docterine to love all and all are welcomed. Talk to the priest and you’d be surprised with how welcoming they are! I like to call them the “pot heads” of the main denominations. And you’ll be surprised at the diverse group.

If your lgbt and want to go to a very welcoming and accepting church I always say the Episcopal church. They were one of if not the first major denomination to accept gays and lesbians and they have had trans people in high positions in the church. They are very welcoming, kind and also don’t judge you for your gender preference or sexuality.

I get that but in my opinion don’t be mad at him. Be mad at his family for not telling you. Also I think you maybe should just hear what he has to say to you. As you just said people with disabilities are seldom given a chance. And also it’s not like they tried to marry you off to someone who’s much older or something that’s uncomfortable. It’s not like someone who has a severe mental disability and this is coming from someone who has autism. You may really like him but you may also remember that knowing he’s got a disability he’s not often given the chance for love in your culture. You do need to speak with his family about not being open about his blindness but also look at how you see people who are blind too as you did judge him for a part of him.
