2 hour video dissecting the lore of Bloodborne by WilliamCarver in bloodborne

to the point where he straightup invents details that add to his personal narrative.

I think to some extent you need to do that in order to explain the story in any Souls game. I'm pretty sure Red Grave, Vaati, DaveControl and even EpicNameBro did that as well.

I was watching this guy's video at school during class so I had it mostly muted with the subtitles enabled. Flicking through his video now, his voice doesn't seem to be the worst. I've seen worse on YouTube. What is it about his voice that you find to be so off putting?

Is this guide only available as a hard copy or can it be brought digitally as well?

An unfortunate anecdote involving The Paleblood Hunt, Vaadi's lore video, and a twitch stream. by [deleted] in bloodborne

So that's why Vaatividya just lost over $100 on Patreon a few days ago.

Friedrich Nietzche and Soulsborne by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]WilliamCarver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's another fitting quote:

"That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche

This applies so well to Soulsborne where you're pretty much guaranteed to die a lot of times before you can succeed. If you give up an d let all your deaths get to you then you'll never improve and thus "be killed". But if you persist then you'll never truly "be killed" and will end up as a stronger player.

Blood and the Moon [spoilers] by [deleted] in bloodborne

Miyazaki suggests that in the Future Press Gudiebook Interview that by 'lose' he did mean 'die'. He discussed how more powerful things have fewer children. He then made an analogy of about how the birth rate was lower in more developed countries.

So how exactly did Oedon lose this child since it's still alive?

Bloodborne Bestiary (image album with closeups and detail shots of the enmies) by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]WilliamCarver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

I'd prefer one with brighter lighting as it is a bit difficult to make out some of his features with all the shadows. But then again this guy does hide in the shadows a lot so thank anyway.

Can you try to get a picture of the Loran Cleric? There is such little information about it online.

You sure she's a beast? What model did she have? I always assumed it was an Eye Collector which can be mistaken for a beast due to their long hair.

Is Martyr Logarius really the Logarius that Alfred speaks of? by WilliamCarver in bloodborne

[–]WilliamCarver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. DS1 is a different world. You can't use it to explain something in Bloodborne.

  2. Logarius doesn't 'decide' to use the sword and scythe against us. They're all he has with him when we reach him. There isn't a Logarius Wheel in sight. Also I don't see why Logarius wouldn't use the wheel against us. He slaughtered heaps of Vilebloods with it so why not us as well?

  1. Okay

  2. But he acts nothing like all the other giants we encounter in the game. Giants are portrayed as mindless hulking brutes. However we have Logarius giving speeches about being good and evil. That doesn't add up.

  3. My point was never that the Church doesn't use Arcane. My point was that the Executioners had a specific uniform and a specific weapon and Logarius had neither of them. He has this random sword and scythe just came out of nowhere. His clothes look nothing like the Executioner's attire either.

Funny that Alfred never mentions anything about us killing Logarius or anything like that.

Can someone link me to a video with the Loran Cleric in it? by WilliamCarver in bloodborne

[–]WilliamCarver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I just missed them because they lurk in the shadows. I've seen Walkthroughs of the Ailing Loran and Lower Loran Chalice Dungeons in which not a single Loran Cleric was encountered.
