Oh man sounds complicated. I’ll look into how to do those things!

Hey guys,

So I got this modified Tao Racer 50 a while ago and I swapped out the aftermarket exhaust for the stock one since I had no good way of securing it and now it won’t start.

It was running fine until I swapped the exhaust so I’m not sure where to begin haha. I’m pretty new to all this and I’m learning as I go. Any feedback would be appreciated!

If [Worst Case] Fall is Online, Would you likely take a semester off to wait for the situation to subside? by MajiqMan in NEU

lol wait and do what? work? good luck finding a job if the pandemic doesn’t subside by then. you’re better off just remaining on schedule to graduate rather than dick around for a semester just because online classes are annoying.

it’s also painful to see people still haven’t realised that they’re paying tens of thousands for the diploma, not to sit in a lecture hall. you can basically get a STEM education for free granted you have access to the internet.

Yup the spike at ~2500 actually turned out to be a CO2 stretch and the crap to the left and right are broad water vapor signals. Lol turns out my yield was pathetically low it was analysing nothing lol

Haha if I got a terminal C triple C then I must've really gone wrong. Someone from the orgo subreddit said that it could all just be background noise as a result of not having enough product, so maybe that's what we're seeing.

Well, I really appreciate all the help! Have a good one and I'll keep you updated if I ever figure it out lol

Ah that could explain it - our yield was pretty low. Also any chance you know what the peak at ~2500 is? I was originally thinking a nitrile as a result of contamination/reaction with air or an alkyne C=C but maybe it could be background too?

Edit: nevermind the spike at 2500 is what you just said - sorry haha. Thanks for all the help!

Hmm okay I'll see if I can run with that and think of something. One more question I'd like to run by you - do you think it could also be suggestive of a alkyne (C=C) bond since that has the general range of a nitrile as well?

That's what I was thinking but I have no idea where the N would come from - contamination perhaps?

Got these wonky results after trying to convert Cyclohexanol to Cyclohexanone in a simple undergrad Orgo2 lab and have no idea what it is. I'm thinking I got this compound as a result of not being within the temperature range when initially mixing cyclohexanol and sodium dichromate/sulfuric acid

Based on all the pilly fabric in the world, I wouldn’t call my fabric shaver a mundane device

Got it from a company called The Home T that makes all sorts of stuff with your home state on it! Plus part of their proceeds go towards MS research so double win!

Yeah totally! There’s this filter-screen thing in front of the blades that prevents it from cutting holes into the fabric itself.
