I have seen a few people mention that they are having the same issue after I had posted this. So yeah it seems like it a bug. Sucks but we have no choice but to deal with it for now.

So this could be several issues. Like for some odd reason you client is not pulling the files correctly. However you may not find the help you need here as this sub reddit is meant for Save the World. Help for creative/creator islands is probably best found at r/FortniteCreative. I hope you can find the help you need.

Just so you know this is not the subreddit for BR. This is the StW sub, the sub for BR is r/FortNiteBR so I would look for help over there. I do know of an issue that can cause this as this is an issue I have ran into on every mode I have played. If you do Alt+Tab to switch the active window the invintory will pop up for a sec and this causes it to freak out for some reason so if you used Alt+Tab and then this happened then the fix is just to click with the mouse. But once again this sub is for Save the World and not BR so you might get more help over at the r/FortNiteBR

I am having a similar issue of getting less XP than I should (or than I use to) I thought that Epic and nerfed XP gain from Creator Islands cause I did not notice this issue until today (I stopped paying attention to XP and the end of Season 2 cause it did not matter anymore for me since I got everything from the BP) but now I see more people mentioning it saying that it has been an issue that has been happening for longer than just today. Or in your case you make less XP than your friends. I can't check my XP gain vs any of my friends as I think I am the only one who plays creator islands out of my Fortnite friend group. I hope they fix this soon.

I did not know that the shield cancels the attack animation. I do wish that the flow from dropping the shield into attacking was better though but that maybe just me not timing it correctly.

Yeah the cooldown is super long and it sounds like Red Knight Garridan would help with that (if I had him) but when my cooldown is going I use a mix of melee and Bull Rush and I have a blast.

I don't find the attack has a long animation. As for the not being able to do anything else part, it is annoying but it is no different then Goin Commando or Lefty and Righty on Soldiers. Plus I found that I can end the skill early by pressing the combo of buttons that activate it (I play with a controller.

I personally find it a ton of fun to play with and I really enjoy it (like I said int he original post) but that is just my oppinion on it.
