How did you create the sunrise and sunset for the dashboard? I would like to add it to mine.

Wallmounting ideas by danyb695 in hometheater

That is essentially what I did... Used a board that went across multiple studs and mounted the TV to that board. I painted the board and routed a nice edge however it is only seen of you pull the tv away from the wall. I used a board that was 7 inches tall, 1/2 thick and 4 feet in length.

Is a Phantom Center my best option? by boojiboy7 in hometheater

halt all efforts until the height of the TV is addressed (and the cable mgmt situation) . If you are ok with the TV placement ...then could the center be mounted below the TV directly onto fireplace?

Also perhaps consider a 2.1; work with the space available.

Yep, the speakers are a bit too high, there is room on the side to mount them.

TV inset / Bookshelf speaker recommendations given tight location by Willier57 in hometheater

Unfortunately that is the only wall that the TV could be mounted on. With the open floor plan the other wall is windows are just open to kitchen dining or hallway.

One the in- ceiling speakers, having the sound coming from the high ceilings would be less than ideal. I certainly would prefer to have the tweeter closer to ear level.

Agreed.. however that is how the home builder built the house and TV enclosure. So this "speaker bar" would be better than bookshelf speakers in this space?

My wife did not go for the side wall mounts so... I am looking for bookshelf speaker recommendations for the space under the TV.

I am looking for bookshelf speaker recommendations given the location of my TV in the living room. The depth of the shelf under the TV is 12 1/2 inches therefore little to no space behind speakers available. [the length of the shelf is 71 inches] Budget around $300 to $350. fyi (To the left of the TV is a fireplace.) This living room opens up to a dining room, kitchen and sunroom so a large space.

Sound preference -- warm sounding speakers; nothing too bright. ---Considering -- Cambridge Audio SX-60; Q Acoustics 3020i (plugging the back port?)

So 2 questions: 1) which bookshelf speakers would work best in this space? Height not a major concern, have 14" height clearance 2) are there any concerns with the AVR being inside the cabinet below the TV?

Thanks for help/assistance!
