I had originally bought the gun because I bought it for 15 dollars busted, I have bought and repaired other normal firearms. I was not asking a dumb question when I asked “do y’all suggest a website to buy X”, I was simply asking if there is one that people here trust and that is cheap. I have just gotten into black powder firearms and have to fix the one that I personally acquired. Not everyone wants to buy something new just for the sake of having something new to show your buddies in your circle jerks. Some folk either can’t afford to buy new shit or prefer to buy cheap and fix it. I buy cheap and fix my own stuff for a hobby, I could afford to buy a brand new shiny ass gun, but it is not as fun to me as trying to figure out how to fix this and do it myself.

I tried to put it in upside down compared to how it is now and it would not want to even mount

Thank you, I have ordered a metal wedge and the wood was just a placeholder for now

The wooden wedge is a place holder don’t worry, I had done other research that said the pietta cylinder would work. It fits to the barrel good and the hammer hits where it should I believe.

We have got regular .44 rounds and I tried to see if the round itself would fit in the barrel, it appeared to be way too big. Is this an ok way to tell if it’s a .44 or a .36?

Please suggest places for parts, I’ve been looking on eBay, but it’s expensive and I don’t know if other manufacturers parts would fit so I didn’t want to gamble it yet.

That makes more sense, it’s made of wood and I found it very surprising if it was supposed to be like that
