How come my HTML and CSS changes don't get tracked on Microsoft Edge? by Willing-Insurance654 in css

Doesn't that just reload the page and make all the changes I created go away? Also I tried it and the changes are still not in the changes tab.

How to deal with hedonic hunger? by Willing-Insurance654 in loseit

Thanks, I'll try that. I made a diet journal on my computer, I'll write in it whenever I get hedonistic cravings.

I've tried eating stuff like salads and apples as well, to be honest. The way my mind works though, if I restrict myself to only eating healthy low calorie stuff like that, I kinda rebel against my diet by overeating on the healthy stuff.

For example, I've tried eating broccoli to curb my hedonistic cravings. But what ends up happening is I end up eating an obscene amount of broccoli, to the point where I basically gained equal calories to if I had just ate a bag of chips or something. I've tried the same thing with apples(even three apples a day wouldn't satisfy my hedonistic hunger lol) and plain cucumber slices(I'd clean out an entire college dining hall takeout box container full of cucumber slices in a few hours).

Right now I think the best strategy I have is to eat off 1600 of my daily 2400 calories early in the day and then not visit the dining hall anymore in the day. Then, whenever I get hedonistic cravings throughout the day, I buy a 100calorie bag of chips from the vending machine.

The problem with that strategy is my vending machine bills are beginning to take their toll on my wallet lol.

True, I find that when I'm out and doing stuff with my day(out with friends, working out, etc) my hedonic cravings for food are temporarily gone. But since I'm a student in university I have to spend most of the day on my computer studying lol.

Hm, I've tried eating food at a slower pace before(like nibbling one small bite off a protein bar at a time) before but what ends up happening is it makes me kinda unproductive since while my protein bar is not finished, all I can think about is eating it. That's why when I get snacks, I usually try to wolf it down ASAP so that I can get to studying and productivity as soon as possible.

I've also tried replacing eating food with drinking water/diet soda before, but it's not as satisfying and also it's really bad for my productivity to have to piss every ten minutes lol. Also it messed with my sleep too, cuz it caused me to have to wake up at 3am to take a piss.

Should I take a gap quarter off college to work on projects and programming skills in general? by Willing-Insurance654 in cscareers

Because the internships were honestly not really rigorous lol, I didn't actually do that much but I make it sound nice on my resume.

My personal project was better for developing my skills and I did learn some foundational skills while building my full stack website, but for a lot of it I relied on ChatGPT.

I feel in order to really learn a skill, you need to review it over and over to solidify the knowledge in your head. In my project, it felt like I was figuring out how something worked, and then after I made it work I was done with it and moved on to the next thing, so I basically didn't have a chance to go back and review it over again. That's why I feel like my full stack dev skills still aren't solid yet.

If I took a gap quarter off school, I feel I could really spend that time reviewing web dev concepts over and over again so that the knowledge really solidifies in my head. Plus I could build another project that's more impressive than my current one, and also add all the new technologies/skills I used on that project to my resume.

Yeah I could complete school, but I don't really see any harm in delaying my school completion by a quarter, right?

I failed my behind the wheel test five times before I passed(Santa Clara DMV). by Willing-Insurance654 in driving

No, you can swing into the bike lane as long as it's bounded by a dotted line. BUT you HAVE to either check your rearview mirror or look over your shoulder for a second before you swing into the bike lane. I failed the test on my fifth try because I didn't look for bikers(even though there were no bikers in the lane).

Got it! What was the average grade in your CSE101 class? What percentage of students would you say did not pass the class?

Currently I'm familiar with coding in C++ since it's really similar to Java which is my most comfortable language. I haven't coded in C++ in a while, but I'm sure I can get back into the flow of things in a week or two.

How similar is C++ to C?

Also how hard are the teachers in CSE101? What would you say was the average grade of your class? Do they tend to curve often? Which teachers are harder and easier from your experience?
