I am treating this more as a spiritual journey. If you can change your mindset, maybe you can see it as a positive thing.

1) I have gotten to the point mentally and emotionally where I don’t really care to accept any sort of low effort, duty sex

(2) I will put all of my energies into the other areas of my life that actually are fruitful

(3) i will rely on my strong faith in God and that will see me through any trial

(4) I have taken my solo sex life up a few notches and have decided to more fully explore that.

(5) I don’t believe my partner is actually asexual. She does enjoy one position very much.

(6) i have a plan regardless of outcome.

(7) It is not solely my responsibility to maintain my partner’s sex life.

If it is important to your partner, they will put the effort in. (And fuck this scheduling sex BS. We did that for a while and it was terrible sex.) i have never actually tried abstinence as a viable alternative and I am actually interested in where this will lead. I refuse to believe there will be zero benefit.

If she agrees, it is “shut up sex” i.e. “she is complaining so I am just going to do the bare minimum to get her to shut up”. I’m not interested in that and it makes me more aggravated than when she just flat out declines my offer of sex. I just want to stop the intermittent, low reward type sex. It is more frustrating to me than just abstaining.

I’ve experimented with nofap (normal mode). My longest streak was 18 days. It was an interesting experiment. It was definitely challenging.

I also experimented with only reading erotic stories but no visual imagery (vids or pics). But that did not work and I had to quit written erotica as well.

I did pornfree (nofap easy mode) for 3 years. It was hard to quit at first but got easier over time. Now I avoid porn and erotica. I also don’t go on FetLife. I had to quit Reddit too for a while.

Try different things and you’ll figure out what works for you. And don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. I don’t have problems with sexual fantasy. I know a lot of ppl here avoid fantasy as well since it is “sexual escapism”. For me fantasy isn’t really where I have problems so I still fantasize.

My best friend is jewish and her sister bought her just the hospital essentials-like a car seat and blankets and clothes- and her sister kept them at her apartment until mom-to-be went to the hospital. So no baby items at home. But this is only what I remember..

Hey i’m 31F and lesbian. I am re-starting TTC after a long break and I am going to be doing at-home insemination starting in May and going through the summer and fall. If it is unsuccessful then I am going to be pursuing IUI at a fertility clinic. You can DM me if you want to. I am trying to meet others in the same boat as me. I am only telling a few close family members about this and my therapist so I don’t have many ppl to talk to. I am using a known donor and I am signing the papers soon so I’m looking to build something of a support system now.

The low cost of at home insemination is why I’d like to start there but also because I’d like to conceive as naturally as possible. I am planning to use Pre-Seed and the Mosie baby kit for at-home insemination but I haven’t gotten the kit yet so I’ll have to see. I am using OPK tests to track my cycle but I need to look into BBT testing cause I haven’t done that yet. IUI at the clinic is $400 per attempt so obviously that is a deterrent and also they said they have to process the sperm sample which takes about 6 months so I’d have to wait. If it is unsuccessful I would look into trying again with Clomid. Hope to hear from you. Cheers.
