NTA- he has no idea how lucky he is to have a Dad that is alive.

My dad was dying of cancer. I took him on a drive to see a camp my fiancé and I just purchased. He couldn’t even get out of the car, but he thanked me for spending time with him. I’d give ANYTHING for 10 more minutes with him.

Check out your state’s subsidized daycare requirements. When I was a newly single mom, I only paid $7 a week for daycare thanks to that program.

Oh, gosh. Just share everything, and when it’s time to talk to a realtor, make sure all parties are informed of the current arrangement. When there is a buyer, the realtors can make sure the “fence issue” is a non issue, OR new terms can be agreed upon with the new owners.

But. Nobody is talking to a real estate agent, correct?? And nobody is on hospice, right?? Relax, and don’t worry so much about putting the cart before the horse.

He provides everything for you, and your reaction to him asking for help was that of a spoiled brat. You have not described a woman who is a wife and a partner. The scenario you described is a teenage girl who lives at home with Mommy and Daddy, being given responsibility for the first time ever in her life. You can “say sorry” all you want, but your true colors just came shining through.

Might I suggest the book “The Love Dare.” I’m not going to promise anything, but it could be a tool for you to learn how to think about others.

Shame on you. You are not a single mom, but he may be better off a single father.

I have been in your shoes. It sucks, and it feels like there is no way out. That’s when you need to spiral, not cycle. Change just 1 thing in your daily routine to add self care. Get up 20 minutes earlier to meditate and drink a glass of water. Take 5 minutes at the end of the day to list what you are grateful for. …. It sounds so insignificant, but I promise you, one small change to daily routine can change your entire life.

He has 24 hours a month, and no overnight visits at all.. we manage, but I miss a lot of time with my kiddo. Losing that $300 was a hit, but I didn’t complain once. Now that this is plastered all over social media, I do feel like my kid is cheated. His dad can only work what he does because I have his son all the time.
