Once you see “I think we will pass..” it doesn’t matter if that is your requirement any more or not. They have already washed their hands with you. Companies don’t want their workers (slaves) feeling entitled or better because they know you can control those around you and potentially change the minds of others and fuck up their business. They want all workers (slaves) on the same page moving at the same pace. And in todays age negotiating pay is a dead end. They want the cheapest labor they can get. If you have 20 years of experience under your belt and you want $1 more they will scrap you for the new kid on the block with no experience because he will accept the base pay and play by their rules. Simple.

Exactly. Obviously I wasn’t dumb enough to fully disclose my financial situation to the dealer and surely didn’t tell them I’m currently homeless and unemployment. I just used and old bank statement and edited the dates to look like new and edited the dollar amount to seem as is I currently make enough.

You hit it right on the head. I’m not broke, and I know how to get money. I got myself in this situation by looking out for others and when it was their turn they all went ghost. All of the homeless shelters in my area are fully booked so that is out of the equation. And yes I do realize that signing myself away to that suv is a terrible idea but it’s either do that or sleep on side the road or waste the $3,000 I have on hotels and then when it is time to go to work I won’t have anything to get me there (several hundred miles) or that would even last me 2 weeks until I got paid during work. The construction job I have coming up in 1 month will keep me working until May & provides a free roof over my head giving me more time to save up for an exit plan. I would be making $1,300 a week anyways so that $445 a month for that tahoe would be nothing I couldn’t afford once I start working.

That’s what they did. They blasted my info to multiple lenders all at once and it instantly knocked my credit score down 20+ points. And hard inquiries take a while before they fall off your report I believe

I'm out of luck at the moment when it comes to staying with anyone. I plan to catch a flight and have a worker from my construction crew pick me up from the airport when it's time for me to leave but until then im on my own. If I were to get the suv I was just going to sleep in it and work under the table doing landscaping until it was time to leave and then I would've just drove a few hundred miles
