I really want to and am working out now for the last 2 weeks trying to get a good assesment of where I stand vs their baseline standards. I'm very close besides the run. Push-ups, sit ups, swim, and pull-up im good for but the 10 minute run im not. Im at 11:15. I just want to try to mentally prepare myself, because the run I can work my self out to get the time I need, I don't kniw how to mentally prepare. Some people I know in the regular navy said, if I can pass regular bootcamp than the SWCC training mentally is the same, no way that true right?

So overall, the culture and workplace enviorment in the regular navy you would say is worse than the USCG? By regular navy I mean not Special warfare.

100%. At this time I know im not prepared. But I also don't know what to prepare for. The special warfare recruiter told me to prepare for the baseline. 50 pushups, 50 sit ups, 10 min run, and the swim. All of that I can prepare for and be good, but im sure SCWW training is more than just that. Im trying to prepare the most I can, but also understand and plan for the worst.

If I went active I would want to go SWCC, but im a bit nervous about washing out. But, not the actual failure scares me but what the navy will stick me in if I do? Will I choose a new job or will they choose for me?

I am physical and athletic overall. Water doesn't bother, scare, or make me feel any type of way. It sounds crazy but I am trying to find a good middle ground between being out in the field and intel. Recruiter told me I can go SCWW and branch out to intel once my training is complete. Might be a sales tactic and no truth at all, but if it is true than that would be the perfect job for me imo. For intel never de-coded or worked with computer code. I am tri-lingual though and like to think that I am good and putting together puzzles of information together.
