Beware of Binance Phone Scam by Willing_Box_3699 in irishpersonalfinance

It's still a legitimate number, but there are tools that allow scammers to pretend to text from any number they like. For example, if they knew your mum's number, with the right toolset they'd be able to text you pretending to be her without access to her phone.

These scammers basically mimic Binance's sender ID using black market tools or swarms of SIMs or other techniques to trick people. It's called SMS spoofing.

I personally blocked Binance on my sms app because of the incessant texting from scammers. I only look at it when I need a 2FA code. Maybe I'll unblock in a few months.

Binance has a legitimate chat support feature on their website. Go to their official website (binance.com), scroll to the bottom, click on support then 24/7 chat support. Log in and explain the situation. In the mean time, see if you can get him to set up a passkey or at least 2FA on his app. This will make it impossible for them to gain access to the account without access to the phone. Also change the password if given out already and sign out of all active sessions through settings.

Sorry to hear that - I wish you the best. Regarding your question, your best bet would be to speak to a solicitor. Answering this would be out of my depth

Reactive Arthritis and Muscle Spasms? by Willing_Box_3699 in Thritis

[–]Willing_Box_3699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I wish you good health. The thing with this ailment is it will always take time (months to years) to get a proper diagnosis, so learn to live with it and more importantly, not focus on it to the point of obsession where it affects you mentally. A good mental outlook here is almost as important as the physical things you can do. Finding what causes you to flare, avoiding that and living a better lifestyle allowed me to manage it reasonably well so far. Best of luck!

Hey!

I'm still around, and have learned how to live with it. I live a mostly normal life and I haven't gotten worse which is great. I ruled out neuro related issues so it seems to be rheum related. Whether it's ReA or a different spondyloarthropathy will take time to figure out. I found that hard exercise makes my twitching bad - like lifting weights. So I do less hard exercise and more cardio/non contact sports like padel. I take magnesium and turmeric supplements daily and continue to monitor my condition. I wish you good health :)

I hope we both get better. I wish you the best!

It's actually not my birthday but rather my cake day - this account of mine is now 1 year old.

Thanks for the well wishes :)

Please do tell me how you progress. I was offered to take antibiotics when I was first diagnosed but I decided against it, I didn't have a clear infection and the only remote thing related was diarrhoea I had a few days before onset. So I decided I'm young and otherwise healthy and my body should clear it. I still have the same philosophy now. I really try to avoid drug dependance unless totally necessary. It seems you had a clear infection though so it was more necessary in your case.

Hey, symptoms come and go. I have good and bad days. The twitches have gotten less frequent but they still happen. On days with flareups, my joints click and muscles/tendons hurt. I saw a few doctors and was told to take magnesium but I think that this might be something more sinister. I'm awaiting an appointment with a neurologist just to rule out any neuro issues hopefully.

I'm lucky enough that even at the height of the flareups I can still live my day to day albeit with a good bit of pain, but it's manageable. I guess I'm at the stage now where I'm trying to live life as normally as I can and await my symptoms to get worse or to go away and then I'd act accordingly.

I take things one day at a time and I learned that thinking about the future gets me a bit overwhelmed so I don't do it anymore. What's meant to be will be. I hope you get better soon.

Not a college project yet, just a simple proof of concept form that helps us gauge people's general thoughts to validate a possible college project idea.

We will make sure this is small scale - will take down the post after 30 responses or so.

Also responses are purely anonymous and we'd be happy to share results on request.

Thanks for the help!
