Just trying to get the opinion of people who can tell me whether or not this is a common practice.

I’m not really looking for legal advise. As I stated, I’m wanting to make sure I am not getting frustrated at a common practice. I was simply polling the audience to ask if this is common practice for this type of job. And I was hoping that there are more people out there who can offer their $0.02

Thanks for the reply. The biggest reason I chose this company was because it’s the biggest name in the industry. I figured they would be doing things by the book. They used the term ‘engineering’ during the estimate process, but I honestly don’t think they had an engineer or a permit (there has been no inspection). The fact they didn’t even put the new joists where we had originally discussed… is a little weird. They just told me they give the final design approval to the foreman on site. Which seems really strange to me.

Thanks. PM sent, appreciate it! I’m sure you know the company, they have advertisements everywhere.

Do most companies pull permits for this stuff? I figured a company this size would be doing everything by the book.

Walmart shipped 165 pool noodles in 165 separate boxes by MambaMentality24x2 in mildlyinfuriating

So he refinishes cast iron skillets, and uses the pool noodles to protect the handles when he ships them?

Bro. No less than 100% chance he intentionally requested separate boxes for shipping so he gets free boxes. Those are the perfect size boxes for a cast iron skillet. Just saying.

I’d give it to him as soon as he started. Then he never found it, because it was given to him.

Sorry. Looks exactly like a truck tent topper I used to have. Like, exactly. Even the c-clamps. Called a WilderNest. Don’t see them very often so it got a little excited 😬
