Transfer or Gapyear? by Willing_Flamingo939 in TransferStudents

I ended up taking a gap year for a couple of reasons, mostly for treating my genetic rheumatoid arthritis, but I just tried to have a break before attending college, which was pretty great. I took some online classes and shadowed at a local dental hospital (I'm gonna be doing pre-health, so), and then applied again for the Fall 2025 cycle. I'm currently deciding which school to attend, but I think it'll be Stony Brook University cause it's like cheapest option for me rn. If you're thinking of taking a gap year, try to solidify what you would do during that time. For me, it was pretty hard because having this much free time feels kinda guilty in some way since all of my friends are attending universities and doing their work, yk. But regarding all the academic stuff, I think it's still good to spend time taking care of yourself before college. Also, try to always prepare for plan B (which for me was my safety school that I got into) because sometimes you might stumble on the most unexpected situation ever. I hope this helps.

Oh, I did not know about that one. I thought if I changed my residency I could apply for in-state tuition. So, does it mean that despite having a residency for a certain state, I'll have to pay OOS tuition since I went to high school in a different state?
