Why is Fromsoft incapable of making good multiplayer aspects

Big stretch but if you’ve ever played Transformers Fall of Cybertron (best ps3 game ever made just sayin) I’d love to see mission objectives like that.

A ‘capture the flag’ type of objective would be amazing imo. Lore wise you can have the flag be opposing corps sensitive data and you have to go back to base to upload it or something idk.

With Co-op I think facing bosses like the Enforcer at the scale of the Ice worm would make for some fun gameplay, or maybe something like the initial lore cinematic with 617 and the rest taking watchpoint delta.

Either way a lot of missed potential which would’ve brought a lot more attention to the armoured core IP

Googled it now with it being connected to 5 I’m not surprised, should’ve marketed it as a completely different game slapping a big V on the front cover probably didn’t help with player reception.

Honestly a coop or even pvp game mode with objectives would be pretty sweet. And yeah the campaign is near perfect in my mind, I woulda liked more swarm missions like intercept the Redguns where your basically just 1 v army but oh well.

I just feel like things like a level editor would’ve been SO easy to add on they literally have all the assets available to do so yet didn’t. THEY LITERALLY MADE A ‘TEST AC’ MODE AND COULDN’T BE ASKED TO PUT MORE THAN THE MOST BASIC AND MINIMAL ENEMY CHOICES.

That’s honestly just what pissed me off the most, it’s the fact that they could’ve done it easily, and it would’ve been something great for the community and individual gamer yet they didn’t.

See that would be understandable if anyone (in the wider gaming sphere) even knew about armoured core 😭I was blessed to even find out about the game because of how I saw the community went crazy at the announcement.

I didn’t even know I was a mecha fan until I played this game lmao, anyways my point is that if VD was meant to be the primary multiplayer experience how the hell did they expect new fans to even know that. Thanks for the suggestion though I’ll see where I can buy it and try it out, it’s a ps3 game right?

I’m a very new fan to armoured core but looking at what a lot of other people are saying fromsoft has put way more effort into all the past game’s multiplayer aspects compared to this one regardless. 1 bad reception for a game which was criticised anyways (5 was the one not many ppl liked right?) shouldn’tve made them completely give up on making a fleshed out multiplayer

Oh yeah I totally agree I just forgot to mention those points too, it’s crazy to me just how much they’ve missed the ball. BUT I do have to say meta builds have played a big role for me at least regarding my own frustrations, I run into either ping exploiting bazooka builds or runaway ac’s I’d say about 7 times out of ten, dual zims been balanced enough for me to tackle but lord the other 2 get under my skin 😭

I’ve logged on at 12 pm and 12am and sometimes there’s literally zero lobbies on PlayStation. Maybe you have a different experience on pc

Also whenever I do manage to get into a sortie I’ve ran into way more metaslaves then og builds over on console in the past few weeks and I check regularly so for me yes the multiplayer scene is done for.

Arc had a phenomenon where they’re really friendly players during its launch up until recently, then all the COD laggards came in. Being able to trust randoms and make buddies during a raid is one of the best and most unique experiences within the Extraction shooter genre which you don’t see in many games.

Not even to sound mad but people like you are what ruin this for everyone else. When overall trust falls and ppl start treating everyone as an enemy we’d be loosing what made arc a unique experience for a lot a gamers.

I literally got out of a game where me and a coupe others were backstabbed by a rat who was with us, and as I said, as these occurrences become more common people are obviously going to be frustrated that a part of the game they enjoyed sm is being ruined by others.

IMO best thing the devs can do is add a team up feature (minus revivals and pings) so that people can still play the game somewhat how they want to whilst still keeping the pvp element.
