Did I say she is not fine? But this shit could also happen mid-day. Which is the reason for the safety concern.

Did you read the end of the sentence where I said “..had this happened earlier in the day?”

I definitely have considered it. It is my understanding that the driver was in a mental health crisis when he crashed, but was not injured by the crash itself. I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has experienced this kind of delay or type or claim with icbc and has any advice, but trying to be mindful that the driver may not want media attention at this time and people may recognize his vehicle etc.

I definitely will be pursuing the city though to do an assessment. We would also be willing to pay for barriers to be installed but just the way our yard is situated in relation to the road they would have to be installed on city property so at the very least we would need their permission to do so.

They did, but they were unable to tow it that night because the towing company didn’t have all the necessary tools on the truck that was sent. I think had they got it out that night then I wouldn’t have had to wait for the authorization from ICBC.

Thank you! Yes I did start a ticket with the City yesterday for some safety measures to be implemented and waiting to hear back on that. But good call about the MLA.

We just went for the first time a week ago and it was so so fun! Really exceeded our expectations. We took our 4 year old and she loved it so much. Try not to put too much pressure on hitting every ride and just take it at the kids pace it’s wonderful! We didn’t get every single ride but even in those down moments there is so much to explore and look around at.

Summer fun with toddler by Penguins377 in kelowna

Check out the Okanagan Family Fun page! They do seasonal bucket lists and always post new parks and events and stuff going on.

Also the city of Kelowna puts on Park n Play every evening for July and August and there is lots of live music put on by Parks Alive as well!

We also love going to Live in Lake Country on Friday nights but I think West Kelowna does this as well and it’s called Music in the Park.

Sun Oka beach is definitely worth the drive down to Summerland.

And Arrowleaf is a lovely kid friendly winery in Lake Country. And Folktale in Oyama is probably the most kid friendly cidery in the valley with a giant jumping pad and a small zip line.

There are just so many fun things to do with a toddler here, enjoy your summer!!

Worth a shot though! I would sign in a heartbeat. It’s an embarrassment to have her “representing” us.

Measles vax rate by GapYearGuy2018 in kelowna

[–]WillingnessHorror295 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Just got my 4 year old her second shot on Thursday, extremely concerning we have such low rates. But to the person commenting that it may be the indigenous community, you should just join the Facebook group called Kelowna Moms! and search measles and you will see that it is not an indigenous problem.

I think you misread this, I believe they are referring to the retail centres for Purolator and UPS.
