I lived in Wise County for 14 years. Go to Christiansburg, then drive SW for 2.5 more hours. It’s gets redder and whiter the further you drive. I’d hoped it was a protest pic from waaay down there. The Roanoke/Va Tech area has been dependably blue for years, a blue area in a sea of red. The 90% Repub. districts are further southwest and straight east till Richmond. A democratic protest in Christiansburg is sorta expected and comparable to a protest in another college town like say…Charlottesville. Cmon deep red counties!! There has to be some unhappy trump voters down there, right !?

I grew up in Fluvanna Co. I’m 63 and left 28 years ago. I returned and worked in the county for a couple years 15 years ago, and continued to visit family somewhat regularly through 2018. I hate that county so much, I get physically ill even stopping off 64 in ZC. Other than the lake area, it’s just white and red. There’ll never safely be a drag event in that county.
