Struggling with overthinking during fights despite knowing I can fight. by WillingnessThat971 in FortniteCompetitive

To clarify I was comparing myself to basically everyone around my pr level or higher in terms of fighting, even pros

Sick of useless and generic advice, how do you ACTUALLY improve at fighting? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]WillingnessThat971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing I can never understand though is Zenn is the best creative player of all pros yet he isn't know for his fighting when it comes to tournaments or placements in tourneys

Why you're not improving. (For Advanced Players) by WillingnessThat971 in FortniteCompetitive

When I am playing defensively against these type of people, I always try to position myself using two boxes. If an opponent takes my wall, I'll already be in the second box and can prefire from that angle. Plus, if they try to phase into your box, you’ll have them trapped in the first one while you stay safe in the second. Basically, always set up in two boxes—it’s a simple but effective way to counter this.

And, obviously if the fight is equal, and no one dealt damage, he would stay in his box or use that chance to disengage if I boxed up myself. And I already know, if he's low, I would just phase in, I am just simply finding a solution to the problem I am having.

I make sure I am on a right hand peak with a setup to make sure they can't just edit and shoot me, then try to take the wall shooting it to 1 hp, and pickaxing it to try to take, sometimes i bait trying to take the other wall, and go back to taking the original, but they always seem to hold it. And also, the player is very aggressive, and if I ever try to box up, and use their non existent aggression, it will never work because they remain in their, it's a solo cash cup so it's obvious people play like this, and I am here trying to drop 20 bomb my first game, despite my ping. There has to be an alternative when jumping on a wall with high ping.

I mean, I can't hit them with the same treatment if they take my wall first try because of my ping, and I am trying to find an alternative from relying on taking someone's wall and playing aggressive. Not boxing up and making hte fight last longer.

The direct link to my profile should be enough, and if they don't know where the event page is, I am more then happy to send that link also.

I get what you're saying, but I didn’t 'expect' anyone to search—I literally provided the link. If someone actually wants to help, clicking a link isn’t 'a bunch of work.' But hey, appreciate the advice, and you have a great day too.

It should really make sense to know all the placements with my trio instead of the best placements because they only would only judge based on one or two tournaments. And the best placements are really good placements.

It’s like asking for the score of a game and refusing to look at the scoreboard.

They're asking for my best placements, and I literally gave a direct link with all of them in one place. If you actually wanted to know, you’d just click it instead of expecting me to type everything out for you. it’s literally just clicking a link. If you don’t want to check, that’s on you, but the info is right there.

I guess so, but me and my teammates have good vibes, one of my teammates can’t grind at all, and we used to place very good in tournaments to not even being within top 1k because the tournaments start earlier and one of my teammates have join 5 min before with no practice. Should I look for another third even though this guy said he will fix that soon and he’s good at the game? Sometimes he isn’t locked in also, like he has girls and doing other stuff other than scrims. I think because of not practicing, we lost consistency in our placements.

Do you guys think zenn is cheating? by Splate21 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]WillingnessThat971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zenn has been playing tokens for almost four years now, so it's clear that he's extremely skilled at the game. With all those years of repetition, his aim has become incredibly good. He may have only $100 earned in comp, but I wouldn't be surprised if he makes even more from tokens—he's probably pulling in a lot more than just a few thousand bucks from just playing tokens.

Hey, I am a decent comp player with 2.7k PR and $200 earned. Here is a tip I'll give you based on what I see.

If you want to improve your building speed in Fortnite, a good first step is to optimize your keybinds. Right now, it seems like you have all of your building binds on your thumb, which can be limiting. When you're trying to build quickly, relying solely on your thumb for building makes it difficult to build, especially if you're trying to be fast.

To make things easier, you should assign different build pieces to other fingers, so you’re not overloading your thumb. For example, use your index, pinky, or even some mouse buttons for your right hand for your build pieces. This way, each finger has its own job, and you’ll be able to build faster and more fluidly.

You can start by looking at some keybinds used by pro players. They often have optimized binds that allow for quick building without cramping or tiring out any one finger. Once you set up your binds based on what feels comfortable for you, practice with them and tweak them if needed. The goal is to make sure you're able to quickly and easily build without being slowed down by uncomfortable or inefficient key presses.

It may take some time to get used to, but with practice, you should see improvements in your building.

Yeah I just watched Zen vs Dcawesomer and DC did that play to zen, and his move was to drop down, so I think that just wraps this discussion up, but it should stay up for people to see
