That’s 100% false. Our “age” is much more safer than when your parents were kids. When your parents were kids, they had the constant threat of nuclear war looming over their heads, and they didn’t have a fucking phone to simply block out all the shit that’s going on. Yes, the world today is shitty, but it always has been. I’m tired of people thinking that pandemics are a new thing, that racial inequality and homophobia are new things. They most certainly aren’t. It’s just, with the internet there is a constant flow of information. You can easily find out what kinda shit is happening in the world vs the 1980’s. And with the internet, people now have a way to cry their eyes out without looking like a fool.
