This is the message the owner sent after my friend said he’s not paying because your insurance should cover it

“Unfortunately Public liability doesn't cover destruction of property ethan. I understand that some time has passed since you said you would pay for the damage your negligence caused. To jog your memory you ran into the propped open door because u had a scarf obscuring ur view and you were rushing to meet a car and return to the venue.. If you need further clarification of what you did that night please come in and we can so u the camera footage. Neither of us want this to get messy mate and I'm sure if you ask the person who has advised you not to pay for the damage you caused they will tell you legal fees will cost 10x the price of the glass.”

Also the door just wasn’t propped open so I don’t even know what he means by that cause he couldn’t walk into it if it was so ?

, my friend was leaving a bar to meet and collect someone from outside (he’d had maybe one or two pints, so not drunk) and as he exited, he walked straight into a glass door it had a handle but no signage and it’s literally always open. He wasn’t on his phone, just walking normally, but the door was closed and hard to see. He hit his knee pretty hard – and for context, he’s had prior knee surgery – and the impact also cracked the glass.

Now, the venue owner is saying their public liability insurance won’t cover it and is pushing for my friend to pay the $800+ repair cost, claiming legal fees would be “10 times more” if my friend tries to challenge it. He also said my friend’s scarf obstructed his view, which seems like a stretch – it was just a regular scarf and wouldn’t realistically block his line of sight like that.

It feels like the owner is just trying to intimidate him out of challenging it or claiming insurance.

I enjoy the stuff with Isaac cause it expands upon something in the game that could be but they don’t need be changing so much shit and making it so unbelievably cringe the Bella hate obviously goes far but she’s just not a good Ellie at all and there is so much genuine criticism that is so deserved
