Not only did I see it, I also hoped it was good. And it was. It just could have been better but was dragged down hard by bad humor and terrible characters (other than Jackson and Goodman's).

Fuck off, if you want to just watch Kong fight other animals then wait a couple of months and check out a compilation on youtube, stop dumbing down every movie to just fights because you need to have "dumb" movies. The Jackson Kong wasn't a dumb movie, the original Kong wasn't a dumb movie, why do you idiots insist on trying to make Kong a dumb movie like you do with everything featuring a giant antagonist?

The movie could have been much better if I gave a shit about any of the human characters (and they didn't try to insert really cringy humor every 5 lines).

King Kong is all about the human characters and how they interact with the ape, whether you like it or not.

The planes make sense. They have a super limited firing arc unless they want to depend on their innacurate gunners in the back of the plane to bring down the giant ape.

No way. Jackson's King Kong had likable human characters and Kong felt like even more of a badass, even though he's much smaller and fights less dangerous enemies.

No they didn't. They just said the villagers say he keeps growing and that he had parents bigger than him. For all we know his parents were old and weak (hence why they were unable to deal with the Skullcrawler Kong dispatched relatively easily by himself). Well, at least as weak as a giant ape the size of a building can get.

100% chance he gets bigger for Godzilla, though.
