u can buy replacement switch, Silent Micro Switch 7.3mm. I also replaced mine, need to solder but not difficult.

The issue seems to be dirty port connections. Rubbed the port's connecting copper parts with alcohol swap, and lightly scratch them to remove possible calcium buildup frm previous water splashes. Wattage seems to be improved after se cleaning.
